Big metal unit and other big metal things...

Post by Tulkas the Stout »

I noticed there is a big metal unit thing on ToB (looks a lot like Terminator armor).

I'm curious if these things can be used by you? Can anyone tell me this please? If so, does it look cool?

  -wow-

Just read the story. One question though, can you find the Golden breaches in irenicus's prison, even if you did not export your character (with GP) from BG1?
anyway, that's another item I'll have to import with Shadowkeeper

No, you can't find the golden pantaloons if you haven't imported a character from BG1 with the pantaloons in his/her inventory.

I actually went through the effort of replaying BG, getting the Pantaloons, and doing all that was nescessary to get the Big Metal Unit, and Rod.

When you wear it you look like an iron golem, and have similar movement restrictions. But it gives you a HORRIFIC AC, I was playing a fighter/thief, and my AC dropped to like -31 or so. It is fairly savage.

Actually, it was /so/ unbalancing that it was completely un-fun. The rod shoots magic missiles, aganazar's scorching, and some exploding skull ammo. Not the most thrilling weaponry, but with the same armor, I equipped a nice halberd and it was -ugly-.

Fun to do once, but that's really about in my humble opinion. :)
