I haven't bought tob yet; does mage spell progression continue beyond lvl 20?

Yes, at level 20 you have 5 slots for level 1 to 5, 4 for level 6, 3 for level 7 and 8, and 2 for level 9. By level 35, you'll have 5 slots for level 1 to 9. If you want more detail about the progression, ask.

Actually; I have looked at GameBanshee's spell tables and they only go up to level 20.
So what happens after I have 5 spell slots in all spell lvls; do it just stop for another 6 levels untill I reach my max? :(

Yep, 5 slots per level is the max you can naturally have, there are items and High Level abilities that will increase this.
