Order of the Dark Flame (Story, No Spam)
Darkpoet gave her a smile and nodded. "Good to see you, Georgi."
When she turned, his smile disappeared quickly. He threw his dagger into the tree in front of him. Only to hear Thantor gasp, "What are you doing? These trees are sacred."
Darkpoet got pulled the dagger from the tree. "Sorry, I didn't know." He then walked away.

Waverly walked back to where DP was sitting. DP gave him a curious look and made motions with his hand over his lips. “Oh, got sweet roll on my face? Thanks.” Wiping his face off, Waverly saw that Kramor’s armor was sitting unattended and out in the open. Fishing through his pack, Waverly produced a fine bluish powder and nonchalantly dashed some on Kramor’s armor. “Impotence powder. That should be an interesting discussion when Loner finds Kramor *feeling* a little less turgid than normal,” he chuckled.
Waverly then spied Georgi sitting on a stump deep in thought. He crept up behind her and began to firmly, yet gently rub her shoulders. “A warrior must stay relaxed, it gives him… or her… the edge in battle.” Georgi flinched at the strangers touch, but wasn’t about to turn down a shoulder rub and soon was leaning back against his hands. Waverly continued, “We mortals are here on this plane for such a short time, and as warriors we offer up our lives early if need be. We should not deny ourselves the simpler pleasures.” Waverly stopped and turned away melodramatically, shielding his face with his hands (but not so much that he couldn’t peer at her through his fingers.) “I’m sorry. I am such a hypocrite. I talk of simple pleasures, yearn for simple pleasures, yet vowed to deny them too myself. Sitting here with you, I feel conflicted, but cannot say more...” Waverly took a seat and tried to look melancholy.

Georgi turned her head and looked hard at Enoch. His words reminded her of Anomen, in another time and another place, long ago... in another life, almost. But there was something else familiar about the man, she couldn't place it. The familiarity was comforting, though. Realising she was smiling a little too sweetly at him, she looked away, embarassed.
Who, me?!?
Vivien wandered over to sit next to Darkpoet, thinking that Enoch was the oddest man she'd seen. She hadn't MEANT to throw the sweet rolls at him, but he had been behaving so oddly...
"I'm so happy you're back. I missed you." She gave him a quick hug and smiled at him while the rest of the camp moved around them
"What have you been doing without us?"

The ruse seemed to be taking root, and Waverly was feeling more himself than he had in a long time. “I’m sorry Georgi, I don’t mean to burden you with my petty problems. It’s just that I took a vow of chastity to keep my mind and body pure so that I may always prevail in battle. But sometimes I wonder… oh, there I go again. I’m sure you don’t want to hear this…” Waverly edged a bit closer and resumed rubbing Georgi’s shoulders.

Thantor excused himself from the camp, saying that he had to check on something. After he left, Darkpoet told everyone he was going to patrol the area. He left the opposite way Thantor left, circling around, darkpoet found Thantor's trail. Following it, he went into the darkest part of the woods. Darkpoet saw Thantor talking to himself, he took a scroll and cast an inprisonment spell on Thantor. Removing his tracks, he went around the other way, to patrol.
Loner's jaw dropped when she saw Enoch providing Georgi with that shoulder rub. It seemed to Loner as if he was trying to act modest, but he seemed to be enjoying it nonetheless.
"Get a load of this," she said to Kramor, nodding toward Enoch. She sighed and shok her head.
"Well, damned if I know what's going on here, this place is getting very strange." She looked at Kramor. "Suddenly I need to swing my quarterstaff around for a while. Care to help out?..."

Georgi closed her eyes, relaxing under Enoch's touch. "Purity is an admirable goal. But you know, there are some traditions that teach how you can harness the energy..." she trailed off, blushing again. "I mean, you should do... whatever you think is necessary for the Order. Whether celibacy, or whatever..."

Georgi brought Gwalchmai a mug of warmed cider, which he accepted, but didn’t drink. He was standing near the edge of camp, observing the others. “You look rather pensive today, Gwally,” she said.
Frowning slightly at the familiarity of the name, Gwalchmai said, “I’m just wondering how this group could be perceived as a threat to anyone. No one seems interested in actually doing anything.” He pretended to sip at the cider, “Just look at Kramor and Loner. They seem so intent on reveling in their angst, I can’t imagine they would be very reliable in battle. Kramor certainly seems lacking in the ‘nobility’ and ‘altruism’ of a true Paladin. Loner just follows him around like a puppy. She hasn’t had much companionship in like, has she? Thus the name ‘Loner’?”
Georgi furrowed her brow, “You’ve seen them both in battle on many occasion. They are spectacularly effective, and you know that.”
“Yes, of course. I am just observing current trends.” Gwalchmai pointed at the fighter who ineffectively sat carving wood, “What about Darkpoet? What kind of name is that? Sure he wears black clothing, but it really doesn’t suit him. His face is more of a ‘Spring’, he should be wearing pastels. And I’ve never heard him speak poetry.” Gwalchmai surreptitiously poured his drink into a bush, “Thantos speaks much about energy fields, as though he is omniscient, but you would be surprised at how easy it is to disguise one’s aura from even the likes of him. And then there’s Dragon Wench. She never seems to do anything unless someone else tells her to. And Vivien seems vacant and off in her own world most of the time.”
Georgi stared at Gwalchmai, “What’s the matter with you, today? I’ve never seen you like this. You’ve always supported Loner and Kramor, and I thought you and Darkpoet were friends. Okay, I can’t explain Thantos’s mysticism, but that doesn’t make it any less real. What has gotten into you?” "And I thought you and Viv might get a ‘thing' going someday," she thought to herself as she watched Enoch get hit by a hunny bun.
“You are right,” Gwalchmai said with a rueful smile, “I must be feeling a little tired. On a more positive note, I’ve never met a more loyal, brave, and trustworthy knight than Good Sir Enoch. We should follow his lead in all matters, in my opinion.”
Hummm. Okay, I guess. Look, why don’t you get dinner started, we can talk about this later.”
“Why would I want to make dinner? Am I your servant?”
“No, of course not. But you usually do it, I just assumed. Besides, no one makes curried lentils as well as you.”
“Very well, if I musst.”

Kramor and Loner, found a clearing, to workout with quarterstaffs. Kramor at first used his size to his advantage, knocking Loner down, a couple of time. He wanted to see her reaction, the madder she got, the more she left herself open. She would attack with no defence, each time she attacked, Kramor would knock her down.
"Loner, you need to slow things down. Make me attack you, when you attack, you leave the right side open"
