Kensai or Blade?

Post by Hairy Ape »

Hi, I'm new here and I have been wondering what I should start up as.
A human kensai using katanas(1 or duel-weild)
Or a Blade.
Both are good classes, but I want a decent challenge(nothing to hard though) I'd also like character idea's(who to take, what to get, roleplaying ideas)
This is my first dedicated run through, so help would be appreciated.

See Ya

Is it a plane?

Kensais are great fighters whenit comes to dishing out damage. They need help to lower their ac however. The blade is more versataile so go with the blade. Try to get ring of free action which makes it possible for the blade to move while in defensive stance.

Well what type of game do u like playing?
do u like demolishing everything or letting your NPCs do that?
We are what we repeatedly do, therefore excellence then is not an act but a habit.

Well, I do like doing something in my party, I've played around with a sorceror and ranger-cleric before, both were good, just a bit too powerful after a few levels. I do like the idea of casting spells then charging into battle, so I'll probably go ith the Blade. Any ideas for proficiences?

@Bruce Lee: Where can I find a ring of free action?

Yeah I think you get when you solve the puzzle in the asylum.
It is a good idea to dual wield kundane and belm. Short sword and scimitar.
Maybe mace and flail aswell.

for weapon profs, just think of what good weapons you can get early. Kuldane, short sword is right there, and the flail of the ages is quite easy to get. I recomend getting 2 wpn style, flail, and either long or short sword, your call. Have fun, blades are great
