@Gwalchmai I was amused at Hingis getting knocked out in the first round too, but I have been hoping for several years that someone would beat boring old Sampras

So much for the Brits, anyway, Rusedski went out and Henman looks like he's heading that way too...

Yeah, I won't miss Sampres. I wonder if he did more harm to the game than good, at least in terms of its popularity here in the US. Being so dominant and yet boring at the same time may not have been a good thing.

i finally got My 56k modem all up and running on BT (not the horrible AOL) so i will be able to post late at night and spam when i get home from work (hoooay )

I'm not using AOL either. I'm using Lineone's off peak unlimited access (they just informed me for all day unlimited service, but I don't want to spend whole day in front of PC

). It's been slow for 2 hours or so, and now it's not too bad.
