Anyone who knows the story of Macbeth and the reasons why it was dubbed 'the scottish play' will find a strange sense of Deja Vu.

I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.
You say you know why it is called a Scottish play not, 'the scottish play'. Apparently there was once a production of the play Macbeth that became infamous due to the deaths of a great deal of stage hands and actors that were involved with the production. They assumed at the time that the play was jinxed, so they changed the name, the weird thing is that the next productions had no deaths or any problems.Originally posted by Aegis:

It just reminds me of this, as though the movie is jinxed.
EDIT: That sounded more than a little patronising, sorry Aegis

@Sleep - You shouldn't think you are paranoid just because everyone is out to get you.

Then you should be worried!
Has anyone seen the Black Adder episode where the reference "the Scottish Play"?
There were two thespians, and anytime someone mentioned MacBeth, they had this routine to ward off the evil spirits. It was hysterical!

Yeah, MacBeth was the so-called "jinxed" play. Mentioning it in the theater could bring bad luck to the company, so theater folks (who are pretty superstitious) began calling it "the Scottish Play."
Can't say that I see any similarity with the Matrix series' in this. After all, if you look at any film with a relatively large cast, you'll find a similar number of accidents and deaths occur during the time of production. They don't usually involve the big name stars as much, but they do happen--it's the law of averages (which probably also went to see a production of MacBeth, once).

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Don't worry if you felt you were patronizing me. I misunderstood what your were saying, and you pointed me in the right path.Originally posted by Mr Sleep:
