The Harem Tent
"I have no intention of hurting Loner. She's special, I have feelings for her. Just like you did with Odessa."
Darkpoet let go of Kramo, then hit him in the side. Kramo went down on his face, turning over. Kramo got up, he knew some of the stiches came loose again.
"Darkpoet, you got to let that go, she died ten years ago. Is that what's been eating at you all these years? You think, that it doesn't bother me? She was my friend, I walked into that damn ambush. I lead all of us into that ambush. I wake up in a cold sweat every night, the dreams are real. Loner, she has helped me very much, I care for her deeply. If I hurt her, then by all means hunt me down."

Darkpoet's head dropped to his chest.
"I have been holding it in too long. I think that's why, I started to work for the Harem, taking care of Anomen. I just didn't want to see them hurt. I'm sorry, I just lost my cool."
"Don't worry about it, I lost mine the other day and threw Gwalchmai, into a wall."
Darkpoet chuckled, looking at Kramo, he saw his shirt was getting wet, where he had hit him.
"I didn't hit you that hard, did I?"
"No, just an old war wound. Could you go get Loner, so she can stich it up again? Oh yeah, duck when you tell her."
Darkpoet quickly left to get Loner.
"Loner, Kramo's stiches popped, after I hit him. Umm, he needs you now, and I'm happy for you."

Lady Georgi bound Gwalchmai’s wounds with expert care. His eyes fluttered open, “Do I really smell that bad?”
“No, I like your smell. Slightly musty, with a hint of massage oil.” Georgi replied absent-mindedly. She was distracted with worry for her friends in the cavern. “Now lie still.”
But not five minutes had passed when Dragonwench and Jennabard emerged running from the temple ruins. “What happened?” Georgi asked.
Jennabard shook her head. “I tried every binding spell I knew. I thought I had her. But then she just walked by us without even noticing. She flew off as soon as she got outside.”
Dragonwench slammed her fist against the wall in frustration. “I tried to grab her, stop her. She shrugged and I was thrown down. I have a very bad feeling about this.”
Georgi looked worried, “What is the Being’s purpose? Where is she going? What did she look like?”
“Black, humanoid, and… beautiful.” Jennabard said, “She had so much power, I could tell. She didn’t even bother with clothes.”
“Black?” Gwalchmai asked, “Drow?”
“We must find her,” Georgi said, “We should seek out our sisters, and anyone who will help us. We need to find out why the Gilded Rose wanted to bind this being, and we must stop any chaos the whole mess is going to bring.”
Georgi helped Gwalchmai to stand as he winced at the burns on his hand. Hobbling on one leg, “I can’t travel just yet, but I can take care of myself here for the night. You three should go. I will be safe. There is no more danger here in these forsaken ruins. I will follow when I can.”

jennabard was feeling dizzy again but this time the visions that she fear did not come. she felt waek, like she was slowly being drained.
dragon looked to her and noticed that jenna looked paler than usual.

Loner looked at Darkpoet. "And why did you hit him, DP?" she asked severely.
Darkpoet was silent.
"We'll talk later," Loner said, and went to Kramo. He was sitting in a chair, and smiled when she came in.
Loner sighed and looked at the wound. She shook her head. "I guess since we're in town now, I can get Bernard to find a real doctor to fix you up, better than I could," she said. She went out, told Bernard to send for a physician, and returned to Kramo. "I'll stay with you till the doctor gets here," she said.

It turned out that Darius, possessed of a strong sense of foreboding, had flown back to the ruins. They were all only too pleased to see him. Especially now that he had cured Jennabard of her poison. The Dragon agrred to accompany them to the edge of the wilderness bordering Athkatla, for this they were all grateful. The group made surprising speed, and soon they saw the lighst of the city glinting ahead. The Dragon stopped, "This is where I must take my leave of you, fare thee well for now."

poison or not she still feel that she is fading away. she looked to the city and prayed that maybe rest was all she need. but her intuition told that she must find the dark women, before its too late. running her hand through her hair, she noticed streaks of white in her once raven hair.
"oh, no"

The group hurried into the slums. Georgi put an arm round Gwalchmai. "I'll take him up to the temple, you guys go and see if anyone else is here," she said to Dragonwench and Jennabard.
Drifting in and out of consciousness, Gwalchmai was little more than deadweight. Georgi struggled up the stairs to the Temple of Ilmater. "Just a little further..." she almost collapsed through the door, causing the priest to run to her aid.

Jennabard and Dragon Wench entered the Copper Coronet. They suddenly realised just how much they had missed the shabby old place. As soon as they entered Bernard came running and brought them to Kramo, Loner and Dark Poet. Much hugging occurred, and then Dark Poet gravely motioned them over to where Vivien was laying.
