The Harem Tent
Loner sighed, tightened her arms around Kramo, and answered:
"First, I want you to just keep holding me for a while. Then I...I would like to stay with you. There is still much to be done; I must join my friends again, they have much work to do and no doubt they're concerned about both of us. But...wherever I go, I want to stay with you. If you are willing."

jennabard slowly opened her eyes to see a worried dragonwench and gwalchmai. still shaken by her visions with tears in her eyes, she pulled her friends into a fierce hug.
"we're all in danger... this is bigger than the guilded rose... or even our search for anomen... the past wants to devour us... something is coming...it wants...us."
still crying, all that the two could do was hold her until the tears run dry.
@kramer- night, see you later

Lady Georgi tore off the sleeve of her tunic. Healing spells aside, her wound was irritated by the blood-caked fabric. She stared at her compatriots. Jennabard’s visions were disturbing, but a part of her wished that they would come at more opportune times, such as at home, in bed, BEFORE they were already deeply involved in an adventure. “Well, if doom was approaching, there’s no turning back now.” She thought, “Best to continue on.” The strength and wits of the Harem hadn’t failed yet, no matter the odds.
Looking about the desecrated temple, she noted a tunnel in the far wall. Perhaps excavated by those nasty Umber Hulks many years before, it now bore tracks from the boot-shod knights they had just slaughtered. Rousting her friends, she bade them continue their investigation. Feeling a pang of guilt at her less-than-generous attitude toward Jennabard, she, herself, helped lift her sister to her feet, supporting her with kind words.
The four entered the tunnel, Gwalchmai holding the torch, the Ladies with weapons drawn. Soon, the sound of rushing water greeted their ears. A large cavern loomed before them, with shimmering light emanating from the back side of the huge water fall for which the ancient village was named. “Beautiful,” breathed Lady Dragon Wench, “This cavern appears natural. I wonder how far back it goes?” Continuing back, deeper into the mountain, the sound of the waterfall became muted, the air less humid. Tombs and crypts were carved out of the walls, with ancient, desiccated occupants. Treasures of gold and magic were at hand in each crypt, but the four did not disturb the dead. Finally, the cavern tunnel ended in a large brick and mortar wall. There was evidence of recent activity at the wall, broken rubble and tools indicated that the Knights of the Gilded Rose had been working to break into this last, great tomb. Traps had also existed; one Knight lay dissolved in a puddle of gooey acid. A quick scan of the area revealed that no other traps were left. A small hole, just large enough for a single person to crawl through at a time had been hacked into the wall.
“Perhaps now we can find out what these errant knights were up to.” Lady Dragon Wench said.
“Has anyone wondered that at least one of the knights we killed was Duergar?” Gwalchmai asked.
“Yes, but just as our friend Mazzy is considered the Halfling equivalent of a Paladin, I assume that other species would have Holy Knight Orders as well.” Lady Jennabard answered, “Even Duergar.”
“So, the Gilded Rose is a non-human Paladin Order?”
“Perhaps.” Lady Jennabard mused, “This may ultimately explain their non-good aligned behavior.”
“Well, let us see what is beyond this wall.” Dragon Wench started toward the hole, “I shall go first.”
“No.” Lady Georgi said firmly “If doom awaits us, I would like to face it first…”
(OOC - @Loner & Kramor: A riviting tale indeed! I read it on the edge of my seat!
Is Anomen truly fallen? Will the Lady find a new lover in her slave? If so, do the other slaves have a chance? Just asking.
@Harem Women: Re: This addition to the story. I almost feel that I should appologize for not including my usual feeble jokes and sexual inuendo.
But the story is just so fun, I don't want to break the dark, moody adventure that is developing. Actually, its all so involving, its hard to come up with anything really raunchy..
I'm sure I'll get over it! Good Night

That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.
When Loner and Kramo, returned tired and weary to the tent. They had something to eat, while waiting for the water to boil, for their baths. Kramo, told Loner to go first, because he wanted to clean his wound. He took off his armor, hearing Loner pouring water into the tub. Kramo took some water into a bowl, but then he accidently, knocked it over. To his horror, it started to eat away the table.
"SH!T! LONER, don't get in the......"
He ran into where she was, she almost had one leg into the tub. Kramo, grabbed and pulled her to him.
"Kramo! Let's get cleaned up first."
Then Loner saw the look in his eyes, fear. He took a piece of fruit and tossed it into the tub. As the water bubbled away, he buried his face in her hair and started to shake.
"I thought, I just lost you. Somebody knew we were coming back, or it was meant for all of us. Lets get a room at the Copper Coronet, and tomorrow find the others."
{OOC, It's up to the ladies. We can PM each other, to see which direction we want to go.

(OOC @Gwalchmai - but Kramor wasn't a proper slave, he was an undercover knight...
Still, I guess you never know... No innuendo?? *feels his brow* are you sure you're feeling ok?
I think you might have a temperature...
)
"But... you're injured, Georgi!" Dragonwench warned her friend.
"I can defend myself, don't worry..."
"Maybe, for once, you should let somebody else do the stupidly heroic part?"
Georgi blushed. "You know, most of the time it's more stupidity than heroism... I just... if anything bad happens... if you were to get hurt..." her voice cracked, and she was shocked to find tears welling in her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she continued. "I couldn't live with myself... not again... I promised myself..." she turned away.
(OOC @Kramor - Tuesday eh? Guess you just can't stay away

Who, me?!?
{OOC Kramo -- here's my latest installment...hope it's okay w/you, let me know...}
Bernard had been most generous toward Loner and Kramo, giving them his very best room for a pittance. "You scare me to death," he said, "all you noble people always get yourselves killed...it's always the best ones that put themselves in danger and..."
Kramo was tired from traveling with his injury, and was resting, when there was a knock at the door. Loner answered.
"Mazzy?!" she said, surprised. She went out into the corridor and softly shut the door behind her, so as not to disturb Kramo.
"Well, you certainly are hard to track down," said Mazzy.
"Considering we've been in another plane for a couple days, we would be," Loner countered. "What do you need, Mazzy? I doubt you'd come all this way for a social call..."
Mazzy's eyes narrowed. "Your guess is correct. I've come to talk to you about all the goings-on with the Radiant Heart and the Gilded Rose. I know the Harem has been tracking this, and getting in someone's way while you're at it..."
"Yes," said Loner; "Kramo and I were nearly killed back at the Tent; that's why we're here." Loner took a deep breath. "I'm not easily scared, Mazzy, but this has me quaking in my boots. Literally."
"Well, that's why I'm here," Mazzy responded. "To help in any way that I can. I'm in the process of gathering more servants of Arvoreen, Trueswords like me; they are willing to assist and will be in Trademeet soon. Meanwhile we need to reunite the Harem. That will seriously foil the plans of...whoever."
"I'm afraid Kramo can't travel just yet, he needs more rest."
Mazzy nodded. "Understood. I will be staying here until you are ready; then we can go back together."
They parted, and Loner went back into the room. Kramo was awake and smiled when she came in.
"Miss me?" said Loner.
"I heard your voice outside," Kramo answered. "Was that Mazzy Fentan you were talking to?"
Loner related the conversation. "Don't be impatient," she said, reading his anxious expression. "When you regain your strength a bit, we can go."
She leaned over and kissed him. "Try to rest now."

Darkpoet felt for a pulse, he felt one. Darius snorted. Darkpoet turned to him.
"What? Do you smell Drow?"
"No, just Dryads. I have to go outside, their scent makes me sneeze. That could be hazardious to you."
Darius walked out laughing.
"Great, that's all I need. Dragon with a sense of humor."
"I heard that. We also have good hearing."
Darkpoet just shook his head, he wrapped Vivien in a blanket. He then headed to look for horses, he figured the Drow has some. Looking in the barn, he found to Bays. Darkpoet saddled them quickly, then led them to the house. Darius watched the whole time. Darkpoet was surprised, that the horses, were not bothered by the dragon.
"They know I'm not a meat eater."
"What?"
"I don't eat any meat, I never liked the tastes of it."
The dragon, started laughing, because of the look Darkpoet gave him. Ignoring the dragon, he went and picked up Vivien. He then handed her to Darius.
"Hand her to me. Now, smell her."
The dragon look at Darkpoet funny.
"Why?"
"I want you to smell her perfume, I need to go find some friends. They wear the same scent, at least I hope they are. Try over by the Druid area. I need you to find Dragon wench, Georgi, Jennabard, or their servant, Gwalchmai. You won't be able to miss him, he wears the same perfume. Tell them I'm taking Vivien to the Copper Coronet."
The dragon shook his head, and started to leave.
"Darius?" The dragon turned. "yes?"
"Don't scare the hell out of them."
Darius smiled and flew away.

Kramo smiled and fell back asleep.
Visions of the battle formed is his dreams. The sounds of war, rushed into his ears. The clash of weapons, screams of those dying. Kramo ran along the hedgerows, with Darkpoet and Odessa. The three of them, were a foward scouting unit. They knew that the Drow, had broken through, but they had to find out where. Kramo watched the rear, while Darkpoet and Odessa figured out which way to go. Kramo smiled at the two, they had been together for along time. Darkpoet signaled Kramo, to continue forward. That's when they ran into trouble. As Kramo turned, he walked right into a group of Drow. He called out a warning, to the other two. The three found themselves surrounded, Odessa took and arrow in her lower back. She crawled back to the hedgerows, with her arms, because her legs wouldn't work. Darkpoet ran to help her, he ended up taking arrows in his thigh and shoulder, knocking him backwords. Kramo took arrows in the side and hip. Darkpoet moved to help Odessa, when Drow shoved a spear into her neck.
Kramo awoke, he sat upright, screaming, trying to grasp for his sword. His whole body was covered in sweat and he was breathing heavily.
