The druids were finally able to remove the arrow. Georgi let out a brief scream of pain before the world faded into darkness.
Loner and Gwalchmai looked on in impotence as the druids worked their healing magic...
(OOC - just posted another Valygar dialogue)

Who, me?!?
Actually, Loner is still cursed with Stupidity. The effect can only be removed with a Remove Curse spell.
"What was that? Huh?...uhhh..."
Druid: "I can try to remove the curse with a spell, while the other most competent healers work on Lady Georgi. But this magic is strong indeed. There's no telling if it will succeed..."
The Druid then cast the spell...

The group waiting outside suddenly heard an agonized scream emanating from the interior of the temple.
"Yeah Gods," exclaimed Anomen in consternation, "That sounds like Lady Georgi."
Fear spreading over his features, Anomen ran to the door brandishing his trusty flail of ages and entered. The others, concerned for his safety, followed.

Loner revived nicely. "Uhh..." she said to the attending Druid. "What -- "
Suddenly remembering she was with the druids, and that Georgi had been injured grievously, Loner jumped up. She saw Gwalchmai assisting the druids like the loyal friend he was, and went over to see what she could do. And then someone burst in --
Loner stood still, completely frozen with -- what? Rage? Illness?? She didn't even know. She took a small step forward to make certian she had really seen him...yes, it was...it was Anomen...

Gwalchmai murmured quietly with Conrad. Loner looked on. The druids had stopped their work, but her fellow flame had not moved, and remained pale, almost lifeless. "She'll catch her death of cold in that underwear" thought Loner, having recovered at least a little sense
and gently draped a blanket over the unconscious Georgi. Gwalchmai walked over, touched by the worry on his mistress's face.
"They have done all they can, my lady... All we can do now is wait and hope..."

Dragon Wench, Sirs Ryan and keldorn, swiftly entered the building. Within they discovered Anomen kneeling before a nearly speechless Loner. Eyes tearing, Anomen said, "Loner, I know that I have hurt you deeply, and I know that I am not worthy of your forgiveness, but I humbly apologize for my actions. Could....could you ever find it in your heart to forgive my grievious wrongs?" "when I heard Georgi's scream, it pierced my soul, you are all so precious to me (gag).....please."
Lady Dragon Wench looked on. She was unsure whether to swat the knight with her horsewhip, or join him in his tears.

"Pierced your soul?" said Loner to Anomen. "Hmph...I'd like to pierce your soul...my friend may be dying, and I find that is all I care about at the moment."
Then she loosened the cloak about her shoulders and showed Anomen her recent scar. "Do you see this? I received this for Gwalchmai's sake. For the sake of my slave! And he was worthy of it. Whereas you...you are worthy of --"
Then she turned away and continued cooling Georgi's brow with a cold cloth, as the druids had directed...

Anomen, thinking that perhaps it would be better to continue his conversation with Loner later, volunteered to help the druids in any way that he could.
Dragon Wench raised an eyebrow at Loner, and then with much concern asked if she felt that Georgi would survive. Sirs Keldorn and Ryan, following Anomen's cue offered to assist the Druids by brewing up some herbal tea.

Dragon Wench moved closer to Georgi's motionless form and laid a hand on her feverish. although she worshipped no particular deity she sent a silent plea to the skies. Turning to Loner she said, "you know, I'm not sure what to make of Anomen. When he heard Georgi scream it was as though he was ready to wreak a great vengeance on any who was causing her pain. Yet, when I came upon him near the Order he was telling these other two knights about matters that should not escape the Tent walls.

*Visions flashed before Georgi's sightless eyes. She saw her friends, worried looks on their faces. She saw Lady Vivien laughing... and Waverly! As his face came into focus, the smile turned into a snarl. He morphed into a demon, and leapt towards her...*
A howl escaped Georgi's lips as her body convulsed, an agonizing pain searing through her veins.

Meanwhile, the despicable Vehemence sits atop his dark throne in the Gulta Mountains. "Such melodrama", he mutters with sheer boredom and disdain rippled througout his words. "Why can't they simply die already?" he continues. A hint of agony perferates his voice like a bunch of holes poked into a cardboard box holding a newborn puppy.
"Brink" he summons, "Where is that boy?" he sighs. "Never around when you need him." Vehemence rises from this throne, his dark wilting cloak flows over his shoulders down to the black boots that adorn his feet. A figure enters the room. "you called my dark prince?" scurries Brink as he eyes his dark lord anxiously.
"Ah Brink, good of you to join me, be a chap and send a message to the Devils trill, marked important of course. Tell them, three days, Rune square courts, and send them the pictures of those harem girls will you" speaks Vehemence with little appathy.
"Very good, off you go now" he continues, waving his hand at brink in the direction of the door. "Is it any wonder I can't sleep, such bafoonery." he continues as he walks back to his throne.

Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

Dragon Wench glanced at her companion. "I had not intended to bring him, but Sir Ryan was concerned at what we might encounter and felt that an additional skilled healer and fighter would not go amiss." "He tells me that their rival order are suspected of having a base both in this area and in the Windspear Hills. Perhaps you should talk to him about the oracle that you met with, he seems very concerned."
But at that moment a wrenching spasm twisted through Georgi's body, and Sir Ryan was momentarily forgotten.

Dragon Wench breathed with relief. Sir Ryan, who had heard his name mentioned, approached the Harem members.

"Sir Ryan," Loner began, attempting to ignore the sight of Anomen, who had once more come rushing into the room.
"We met with an oracle who told us that your rival order is the Brotherhood of the Gilded Rose. They are good and just knights, as I'm sure you know; but in seeking to extend their influence they --"
"The -- the Gilded Rose??" Sir Ryan exclaimed. "I...wait, first: what manner of oracle was this? Where did you meet with him?..."

"What manner...well, it was an...an oracle..." said Loner, really at a loss and wondering if all her IQ points had really been restored.
"Sir Ryan, I'm sorry, but may we continue this conversation tomorrow? I am very weary. That Stupidity curse took an awful lot out of me, I'm afraid."
Sir Ryan agreed, albeit reluctantly, and Loner, after checking once more on Georgi, moved off to find a nice room to sleep in.
