QUESTION

Post by Apex36 »

I know this is strange but anyone (BESIDES PEOPLE WHO FINISHED BG2) find themselves on this Forum page more than they play BG2 because for some reason I can't leave I'm always on this Forum instead of playing BG2
anyone else have that problem?

I was a bit like that in the first week I started posting here. Now that I've finished the game I think I'm here more than I play BG2 because I can't get myself to do certain quests.

Thanks to the people who bothered to answer but I'm just curious (since I got BG1 late and never finished) when you finish BG2 is it the end (besides expansions) or can you keep going and do other stuff???

Yes......once you complete the game you can't go back in the game and finish unfinished quests and so on......unless you start a new game.....

I'm finished with BG2, having played as all classes and almost all character combinations, and am quite simply very bored with the game. I visit here from time to time in order to share what I learned from playing the game in order to help lessen atleast some of other players frustration and help them like the game as much as I did.

The game is very replayable. When I finish, I plan to try a different class, different romance, different NPC's. Together, it should make for a completely different game, except for the plot-crucial parts. Even then, I will be using different battle strategies.

Lost Souls: A bereft lover. A masterless familiar. Friends gone their separate ways. Time marches on, and destiny heralds the meeting of comrades old and new. Can they find what they're seeking? Or will the search bring them only more pain?

I think you visit this board for the same reason you play BG. You are very interested in AD&D style pc games. BG gives you a dose of it and this board allows you to discuss it and share your adventures and your thoughts.

Unfortunatley BG2 has a beginning, a middle and an end.

When Never Winter Nights comes out we will all have a lot more adventures to share and we will all have different adventures to share.

I don't believe in the replayability of 'real' CRPG's, even if they are very non-linear like BG2, Planescape:Torment or even Fallout. There may be new characters and quest to recover, but there will also be many things you've already done before.

The only RPG's I played several times through are Action-RPG's like Diablo1+2 and Darkstone.

There's no such thing as a "stupid question"....that's what I learnt in school....although I´ll admit that that one was pretty close... Image
