That's right, it's Oedipus. However, if Aegis has to kill Georgi for Weasel then that makes it Elektra, right? :D

@Aegis, if you run into a guy named Orestes in a bar sometime, and he's with three very loud women--run.

I couldn't possibly come close to looking like any char from Star Trek, so I don't bother trying.

Which episode would you like me to quote from? j/k. Actually, I haven't seen any eps recently enough to still remember much of the dialogue verbatim(sp?).

Wanna talk about the matter/anti-matter reactor, plasma relays, deuterium tanks, tricorders, or transporter buffers?

TOS sucked. The storylines weren't always bad, but the acting was, excluding Leonard Nemoy. TNG, V-ger, DS9, Enterprise, and most of the movies are very good and, for the most part, very well written, excluding a few inconsistencies, but even the most well-written stories have a few inconsistencies.

These are my opinions and if anyone ridicules or criticizes me because I like Star Trek, I will report such actions to Buck.

Well, at least she didn't threaten to report me to the Klingons, or something. ;)

My wife enjoys the series. She also doesn't take any of it seriously, and agrees that quite a bit of the ideas espoused are pompous nonsense. -I think it's this tendency to take itself very seriously that I found off-putting from the start, not the fanatacism of some American fans. Conversely, that's what I enjoyed about those under-budgeted old Dr. Who series: they never took themselves very seriously. I wonder if anybody here even remembers the things? :)

*glances at her Dr. Who tape* I think I've watched that once. My problem with most sci-fi is that it is too scientifically inaccurate. Most everything in Star Trek(excluding TOS and some of the earlier movies) is theoretically possible, at least within the limited knowledge of humans in the matter.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "took themselves seriously" though.

Why would I report you to the Klingons? I don't want you killed. ;) :p

Oh yes, they used to be a feature of Sunday teatime in my house :D I do remember some of the older ones, but mostly the Sylvester McCoy series. My favourite Doctor was tom Baker though  They did try to revive it a few years ago, with Paul McGann as the Doctor - never got past the pilot episode though, it took itself way too seriously ;)
