For the Girls: What kind of attention/reaction do YOU want?

Post by Maharlika »

In relation to CE's question on types of attention, I was wondering how the girls would like us guys to react when they dress "provocatively."

I mean, is there any particular way that the girls have in mind wherein we can show how we admire them without having to sound/look sleazy?

I love women and I'm not amiss when I show my appreciation... but I just don't want to be misconstrued as some pervert or something... :)

Guy: *leeringly looks at the lady without even looking at her face* You look absolutely stunning! :p

Gal: *looks at the guy below his belt* I know... *WABLAAAG!!!!*

Guy: *with the trademark of the girl's purse marked on his kisser* YEEAAAOOOOWWWWW!!!! What was that for?!!! #@!ด้นรีา่หกี%^&?!!!!

Gal: *walks away...* as if you didn't know... hmp!

I asked a lady this question once and she replied,

"Well it is about confidence, i feel much better about myself when i am wearing something revealing. It also helps to show a little leg..." :)
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

Yeah... I DO understand when they say that it is about confidence, i.e., if you GOT it, is it wrong to flaunt it?

But how are we SUPPOSED to react?

Back in my country, we have public transportations called jeepneys. These are jeeps with an extended rear to provide more passenger space. As such, the passengers from both sides of the vehicle would be facing each other.

So, you got a girl with this miniskirt... and the guys seating in front of her would "give her the eye beneath the skirt."

Girl gets offended and shouts at the men, "WTF are you looking at?!"

One of the guys would say, "hey, if you don't want us to be looking what's beneath your skirt, then don't even think of wearing miniskirts..."

 Penny for your thoughts? Anyone?

Well, i am not sure that there is an explanation, i do not think that most women wear such things for men, but more for themselves, perhaps that is where the confusion comes in, said men assume that a woman is wearing it for others, when they may well be wearing it for themselves. make any sense?

Well an issue over here that is similar to what you guys are talking about is public breastfeeding. Seems that some people have a problem with it.

Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, but yes, Mr.S somehow that point makes sense.

@breastfeeding in public: No problemo for me too. Afterall, that's what breasts are for. IMHO, malice is what makes breastfeeding in public disapproving for others.

Mr Sleep and Maharlika: Yeah, I agree. There shouldn't be any problem with breast feeding.

There is obviously a connection between Men and Women, i find the whole opposite thing banal. However there are certain things that men will never understand baout women and visa versa. I also think that one can avoid leering if one really tries ;) :D

True, true. :)

When it comes to the leering thing, I agree with that. At times, it is I who gets embarrassed if others would notice that I was even making a glance. :o

I learned (heard? read?) back in college that such male behavior is "normal." --- psychologically speaking, when you talk about Man as part of the animal kingdom with their basic instincts (no, I'm not referring to lust).

Shouldn't one be able to rise above natural instincts? That is the same argument as to why men prefer bigger breasted women, purely for the fact that they would be better mothers. Can't say i agree with that reasoning. :)

That's what separates Man from the rest, doesn't it? Nah, I was referring to the "initial" reaction (or the tendency)of the male. However, being different from the animals, all it takes is just one look then you just have to look the other way. :)

Now, if the female does it on purpose, then it is a different matter, isn't it? :D

One of our cats used to turn it's nose up at the females, if there was food available no matter what the season that was always the important thing for him :D :D

I suppose, but i think we have established that the average female does not feel that way ;) :)

Funny, why do I have this weird feeling that I do and I can relate to your cat's behavior? :D

I hope "our better halves" can come up with something to enlighten us "men" a bit...
