How do you tell where to plug in the mutagens? thank you in advance

Go into meditation mode and go to the screen where your distribute your skillpoints. There's an option to mutate your ability, spacebar I think? You can't mutate every ability though.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings @ GameBanshee

Look for the [Mutagen Upgradeable] tag.
Sage plays a paladin,
because other classes would be frowned upon for laying their hands on a wounded companion
