So this is my 1st time playing Veteran level. I've found that the Haku Ceremonial Blade never appears so I cannot proceed with that quest. I've tried everything I could think of.
I had left my companions at the inn when I last played, and in Veteran I have been unable to release them. When I re-encounter them playing, I get an alert that I "cannot have 2 instances of the same character in my party", even though they're at the inn, not in my party, and cannot be released. I believe these 2 problems to be connected because I think I left the Haku blade in the Inv of one of the NPC's at the inn at the end of Mercenary level, but it is gone now (I've checked them all) and does not appear at all in this game.
HELP!!
Is there a way to get it back and finish up the quest?
Is there a way to release the "old" NPC's?

Problem with Veteran Level
