Trouble using Dimension Door spell

I'm having a bit of trouble making this one work; it doesn't transport my character anywhere. I'm probably just being dense, but can anybody help?

Are you talking about the 5th level magespell Shadowdoor?
Dimension Door is not a spell characters are able to cast, it's only enemies that are scripted to "disappear" that use it. Oh, and Phase Spiders.
If you're talking about implementing Dimension Door yourself by using an editing program, I can't help you, but if it's Shadowdoor, read the desciption again, and you'll descover that that particular spell is not supposed to transport you anywhere, but to render you invisible (with a few modifikations).
