KOT9 - Stuck getting to Umaril

Post by abilene7 »

I am stuck trying to get into Umaril's lair. The walkthrough says to push a button on the bottom level in order to open the gate. I have pushed the button but nothing happens. Did I miss something I was supposed to do, or is this a glitch or something? Can anyone help please?? THANKS!!

PS: I'm playing on Xbox360 in case it makes a difference. :o

i do not know if you figured it out yet...

I remember having problems with this one as well but you just have to do it over a few times.

You may have to lock in a cheat or 2 to get it done. I know for me it was hard to cheat the first go around but there are times when gliches will not alow for fair play.

If you have not passed it yet go back and read the walkthrough a few more times you'll get it :)

I was just about to suggest the walkthrough as well. :) Either that or go buy a strategy guide. :mischief:

I'm afraid it makes a hell of a lot of difference, the problem would be easy to overcome on a PC, just use the console!

On the XBox it's far more difficult unfortunately.

I assume you are on the second level of Garlas Malatar. Garlas Malatar, Ceysel to be precise. There are in fact two wall triggers; have you tried both of them? There are also invisible triggers that only the player character can trip, I'm not sure however if they are important or not. All I can suggest is walking everywhere you can; and trying the buttons again. If that doesn't work then all I can suggest is reverting to a save prior to entering Garlas Malatar and trying again.
