You quickly find that even though not as distrusted and hated by the population as the hobgoblin. Many a distrustful glare is given to you as you walk down the street, especially from the surprisingly many gnomes. You also notice the guards looking intently at you very intently.
As you arrive the inn, Kuu'shar and Gabriel has already drawn enough attention to themselves for you to reach the bartender, practically unnoticed. The man looks down at you narrowing his eyes and mumbling something under his breath "let me guess, room, food and beer?"

You barely catch over some some obnoxious drunks him mumbling "always the ugly monsters, why doesn't the nymphs and dryads come in here?".
Then a bowl of gruel and a mug of beer is set in front of you, "Four silvers, kobold." and a key is laid between them "in there, down the stairs, last door in the hallway" he says, not watching at you, just pointing at a door as he finds another glass to clean.

The bartender looks at you in shock, clutching his grip around the cup he is cleaning. He quickly calms down and looks at you, pure hate has risen, and is aimed at you. "You'd do well to find a thing not wrong with you monsters!" he proclaims loud enough to shush some of the conversation in the bar.
"Here you are in the only place in town that takes in every kind of creature, and even if you were the best of your kind, a single wife-beating drunk in here is more worth than a nest of you. I set aside my dislike of you monsters walking in here, showing you a great example of politeness, then you have the nerve to call me an a-hole! I should throw you out and let the winter deal with you. You can thank gods greater than whatever fiends you worship that I do not, and that I am kind enough to grant you room here. For the future, know that your coin does no good under this roof, and that when you leave this place, you will be removed by force if you ever step in again!"
The bartenders face is red after his rant, and his with his stare he seems to challenge you to retaliate.

You find that half of your room is filled with crates stacked upon each other every one of them having written "Do not touch" on them. No one try to enter your room as you sit there, but you hear the sounds of a busy bar far off. Now and then the sound of roaring laughter breaks trough the chatter.

(Indion, Y996, December 27 - morning)
You all wake up, well rested, and find your self not hungry this morning. The dream is clear in your memory, all chilling details and images still looming around seemingly in the background for the first couple of minutes.
As you arrive at the gates to meet the caravan you see three wagons obviously filled with crates, covered with sheets of leather, and one wagon with a big square tent on top of it, to shelter one from the elements. You also see, to the sides of the wagons, four great moose, eating some of the vegetation sticking up from the snow.
A male hafling steps out of the wagon as you come closer, buckling his belt and seeming blissful for a moment, then as the first of you get closer he waves "good, i assume you are one of the mercenaries, lets keep things brief before everyone arrives"
When everyone of you are gathered he starts his introduction, seeming unexpectedly calm about the gathering in front of him "Great seeing so many meeting up, my name is Meliss Wildskin, and I will make anyone not calling me 'Mel' walk the whole journey. You will be traveling with me, my three 'companions' and a traveling merchant, bound for Mainport as well and asked to join in on the journey, he will be arriving shortly.
For your tasks, I expect every one of you to contribute with combat abilities when that is expected, let me speak to other travelers, seeing I am the caravan master, and to contribute with entertainment during breaks.
Now, any questions will be taken on the road, as we are all ready to go."
Mel turns around and faces the caravan, now ready for departure, as three female halflings went out of the wagon and started readying the caravan as he spoke. As you start to walk towards the caravan you see a man jogging from the town gates, clutching a bag, he walks up to Mel and bows, jumping into the tent of the wagon Mel steers. I
It seems to be the intention that each of you seat next to the drivers in each your wagon.

Whether he noticed me or not, I basically seat myself on top of one of the caravans, lying back and relaxing as we begin to move.
I still have the humbling stick at my side, and occasionally stand up to check on the progress and any upcoming threats.
Spot checks every 30 minutes or so-
1d20+0
16+0 = 16
1d20+0
6+0 = 6
1d20+0
15+0 = 15
1d20+0
20+0 = 20
1d20+0
7+0 = 7
Otherwise, I simply lay back and watch the clouds move by.
Oh, and how fast are we moving?

Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.

I make a sad little sound as the shadow begins to invade and warp the rather pleasant little dream I was having. The many versions of me are there, but some are distinctly not me, yet me all the same. Sinister sneers twist their expressions as the creature lies helpless at my feet, their eyes filled with malice and hatred. I see the power stretch out before me in an infinite expanse and I can see the wanton greed in the expressions of my replicants.Orod wrote:(Dream-scape, Y?1/2, Collective dream 1 - Night)
(This is a common dream for all player characters, although the dream takes no regard for other characters the "you" described in the dream, either referring to individual or group is to describe the player character having the dream.)
A shadow grows from the middle of your view in a rather normal dream, sucking all light away. You stand in a great hall, featuring a throne, you hate the creature sitting on the throne instantly, and all of its thralls, which surrounds all of you. You stand there together with all of yourself, past and future. Then you fall apart, ripped to shadowy strands by the thralls.
You stand in a circle, hands joined by only a few of you, facing outwards, closer to the throne with the creature now, but again surrounded. This time the creature surrounds you, and taunts, you instinctively know what to do, you let go of your own hands, lunging into the creature, the others of you doing the same. You feel your hands pounding on the creatures flesh, and know that the others of you must have caught air and run into the thralls.
A shrilling shriek. You have defeated and destroyed the creature now you have it's power in your hand, an the world at your feet, begging, pleading, weeping
What do you do?
(A short question for those of you done with their day, make of your answer what you want, as detailed or non-existing as you wish. From here it is a dream ruled by your character, and you may draw any conclusions you wish.)
My vision seems to split as I see two separate paths diverge from where I stand. In one, I see one of my alter-egos stretch forth his hand...my hand...and seize the power that lies before me and the lamentations of the multiverse echo through the vaults of my mind. In the other, I stand over the beast, a shining son of the Eladrin, champion of all that is good. I see the power in front of me and I reject it utterly. My alter-egos scream with impotent fury and turn on me.
As I reach forward to make my decision, the figures around me begin to circle, closing in on me, their dancing shadows encircling me, trapping me. Torn by indecision, I start to make a choice...
I wake with a start, cold sweat standing on my forehead.

You are traveling at a rate of about 40 feet, you notice a faint sound of glass against glass as you land on top of the crates stacked there, and get the proposal of getting down so that none get harmed.
Everyone
You notice the wagon without cargo is going first as a scout for bumps in the road, and that every bit of care is taken to avoid such things with the other wagons, for two full days you travel along a road in the middle of a very dense forest, reducing the amount of snow in the way, two hours after the midday break this changes however, and the tracks get thicker, slowing you down a bit. This change of terrain seems to be due to an intentional woodcutting very recently in this particular ares.
The halflings of the caravan have been very social for the short while you have spent with them. Almost constantly talking to those who do not talk much, and asking questions to those who talk. Now though, only one word is spoken, by Mel "Weird"

Assuming shaggy quietly informs us someone is up ahead, I chime in. "Allow me," I say, floating off the caravan and dashing in their direction but using hiding spots like rocks, stumps, etc-
Move silently-

Hide-

As you get close enough to make sense out of the voices you hear the following bit of conversation: "...pid, no one travels these roads from Indion, especially not at winter, they have boat for cargo" says a male voice "yeah, we've been sitting here for ages, and not a soul, now all i have to feed my family is that wood you made us cut, and that squirrel who bit me" another voice backs up, this one brighter. "Ah, cut the whining and go back to your posts, and if nothing shows up today we can go home you sissies" says a third voice, even brighter and obviously female. All three of the voices have have a weird outlandish dialect to their tongue.

"I'll provide assistance from the shadows" I say it as I quickly dash away from the caravan and into the forest, moving a few feet ahead of the caravan and throught the woods, and look for a good position to cover them in case we are attacked.
Hide 13+6=19
move silently 20+6=26 (Holy beans!)
