Thieves Guild - Help

Post by Yossarian21 »

I am in the middle of the thieves guild test, and I stole the Diary from Methredhel. I went ahead and just slept away the time in order to get back to midnight so that I could join the guild.

The diary then mysteriously disappeared form my inventory, and I cannot seem to finish the quest... any suggestions?

If you're playing on a PC then open the console and type in

player.additem TG01AmantiusDiary 1

If on a console then try talking to Armand, or searching Methredhel's shack again.

If all else fails then I'm afraid it's revert to a save prior to taking the quest, although you should have been able to restore the auto save from before you slept.

I agree try using the additem cheat to get the book back.
If that does work and it is not yet midnight try using the wait button instead of sleeping.
