I have tried a couple of sites and have done a couple of searches and cannot find the answer to this problem.
I just finished HOU and am starting NW2. The problem is that I can't see my mouse pointer. I had this problem when I started NW1 and I changed a config on an ini file and it worked. I don't seem to be able to find the same file or config file in the NW2.
One person responded in another post that the mouse pointer would show when playing in windowed mode but I can't even get to the screen to select that option.
There is an nw2player config file that has a variable for window mode but not sure what the appropriate value is. I think its currently set at 1. I have tried 0 but it didn't change when the game came up.
I am trying this on Vista. The game seems to work fine and I have been able to establish a character by fishing around with the mouse but it is really hard to move and to select things without the pointer.
I have searched using cursor or mouse pointer and I did not see anything regarding this point. Hopefully someone else has seen this and its an easy fix.
(I am doing this on a laptop and I disabled the laptop mouse just incase that was the conflict and that didn't help.
Its weird because I can see the cursor before the banners (atari, nvidia, obsidian, etc etc) start. But once the game menu comes up, I can't see it.

I finally got this resolved
The solution to the problem was to turn the trail off of the mouse and revert to the default or standard window mouse pointers. After I did those two things the mouse has finally shown up and the game goes alot faster.
