Kind of lost...

Post by Ragin Cajun »

OK, I'm a mage character. I've completed all the mage recommendation quests to gain access to the Arcane University. Based on class, I'm not doing Fighters/Thieves/DB quests. While I have the main quest to still work on it appears I've done the other quests...I'm not seeing anything new in towns.

Is that all there is to the game now is the main quest and dungeon crawling? I'm only level 2..lol. And Galrein, you were right. Putting just the spell categories and blunt in my majors..I don't level up at all.

Well firstly of course there's the mages guild Quest line, talk to Raminus Polus in the Arcane University, you should have been directed to him when you completed the final recommendation quest. Talk to him about Tasks, and you should be sent on your first one, the Mage's Staff quest.

If you have Shivering Isles installed then that opens up more quest opportunities if you don't mind being a tad dastardly on occasion. If you do there are still some side quests available.

There are also quite a lot of side quests, you should get hints about these through overhearing conversations, which lead to additional topics when you talk to people.

Talking to people is a good way of finding new quests anyway; for instance go to The Grey Mare in Chorrol and talk to everyone, you'll pick up two quests right there.

That's what I mean...

I've done all the quests for the guy at the Arcane University; well not all but can't go back for 24 hours after my third quest for the head honcho.

When I was in towns doing the mages' guild quests I did talk to people and get leads on quests. I've gone back and done those and nothing new appears to be opening up.

I guess I usually expect something a bit more linear that doesn't just leave me hanging here..lol.

Why not? Unless you're talking about waiting for your staff to be made I'm baffled; and if that is what you're talking about you've only just started the main mage's guild questline.

I did the mages staff quest and got that. I've run two "Special Missions" for the head of the guild. After the last turn in, he said to come back in 24 hours as he needed to meet with the council.
