Hi!
I was wondering if Jaheira would cut it in ToB as the only Cleric and I'm thinking of abandoning the Sword and Shield on the later parts of SoA and focus her proficiencies in something more useful for ToB. What do you recommend for this: Spears and Two-Handed Weapons or Dual-Wielding Scimitars?
Jaheira: Weapons and a Healer?

Jaheira? But she's not a cleric, as you know: she's a druid. That means she has no abilities against the undead, while at least one or two of her best kick-ass spells won't work unless she's above ground, out in the open. Personally, any group of characters can succeed in ToB, but it will require more strategy to do it with Jaheira than with, say, Viconia or what's his face, that large, gleaming, self-satisfied idiot. Oh yeah, Anomen.mrdeluxe wrote:Hi!

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Yeah, with "Cleric" I really meant Healer-type. I don't really want to take Viconia with me to ToB, as I'm saving that for another run. My planed party right now consists of the PC (a Fighter/Thief), Sarevok, Minsc, Jaheira, Imoen and Jan.
I chose this party for the interactions as I never played ToB before and I wanted to take the core group with me (Imoen, Jaheira and Minsc).
On a next game I'll probably take Viconia, Anomen (if he can survive my PC's wrath), Haer'Dalis and some other cats to see their dialogs.

Spears and Two Handed definitely. In ToB armor class means nothing, and Jaheira does well with a spear. Here i recommend installing "Red Badge" encounter from "Tactics" Mod, it gives you one hell of a spear
(but you have to face hell of a battle to get it)

It can be done but I found Jaheira wasn't really sufficient as the sole healer of a 6-person party until really late ToB.
I usually deck her out with Belm in the offhand and whatever best club or scimitar I can find in the main hand, but spears and staves are also good.
