One of the four requires you to advance the plot a little.

spoiler I cannot find the one in the alienage . IT is supposed to be by the tree but I have walked around it and clicked on everything and nothing happens. IS there more than one tree?

They are part of a Mage Collective quest.

As for the place of power in the Alienage, it is by the huge tree in the middle. Try pressing whichever key you have mapped to highlight all clickable objects in the area and it should show up - sorry I changed my key settings so I can't remember which key is the default.
