Another Saerileth problem

Post by Edar Macilrille »

So, having done so before, I routinely slide through the tests the Lawful Good way, being LG, and beat the crap out of Irenicus in his various forms.

Next thing, marriage, etc. OK.

Onwards to ToB, the Elves have second thoughts and tells us to leave- everything is as usual. Then before talking to the Elven stoned heads she suddenly says, "I am thy wife, nothing can change that. But thy hearth has become too black for me to remain." "I must return to Mount Celestial, think of me often my lord." Hands over all her gear and leaves. I have seen no one else with this problem, and it does not seem part of a quest.

Rep 20
Virtue 20
Char 19
Alignment LG.

What on Toril is going on?

No that is downright evil of you hiding you black heart from Sarileth untill after you marry her! I don't know what kind of girl you think Saerileth is but maby next time you should consider not throwing everything single thing you could think of at her on your wedding night dude!

Seriously that is strange with your rep/char/ and alighnment all seeming to be in order. I wonder if the Virtue Mod is somehow screwing with things as the game switches from SOA to TOB? You could try uninstalling it if you have a save right before taking out Irenicus (which I know you do, right? ) and then kill him. What other mods to you have installed?
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)

Yes I know, I should probably have left out the Egg whisk, flying helmet and parsille... but she did say "Hhhrrrenéééé!" at one point ;-)

It annoys me, getting left by loved GFs depresses me RL and feeds the dark inside. Think of what it would do to a Bhaalspawn... Now I have to kick Anomen (who starts Romancing me despite my best efforts to keep him away) and Kelsey and exchange them for evil and/or depressed charcarters. A Bhaalspawn needs a little light in his life, not even more depressed and depraved persons .-(

As it is still the same game as the Yasrena problem from the SoA forum, I cannot find the paper with my mods on still :-(

, good reply!

It sounds like you've got some sort of Mod install order issue or just conflicting Mod issue to me. Especially since the two Mods giving you problems were coded by the same people and thus are probably the same from a code perspective.

You could check Saerileths locals and globals to see if there is some variable set reguarding the PC turning evil or some hell test variable and either remove it or change it. Other than that your probably looking at uninstalling other Mods one at a time until you figure out which one it is.

This (their descendants) was my basic list. I think I only added Yas and Sari.

Ascension
Item Upgrade
Ease of Use
Oversight
Ashes of Embers
Banterpack
The House of Sim Mods
Virtue
Kelsey
Unfinished Biz
BG II Refinements
Tactics
Flirtpacks
Rogue Rebalance
Restored Drow Innates
Clerical remix
Calculator
G3 Tweakpack
G3 Annerversary pack
Subraces
Bag Bonus
Underrepresented Items
Solaufein
Ironmodder 1, Ghrey's part of it.

I forgot. I added Jerry Zinger as well, being the sort of show that is- it could cause relatuionship problems, so I have uninstalled it and will test tomorrow and see if she still buggers off. Now for bed 00.38 here in Denmark. Sleep well.

Same thing happens even if I uninstall Virtue and I am not of a mind to uninstall all my mods one after one to test. Definately not.

I guess I will choose to be angry at TCoM and not use their mods again.

Time to uninstall those two NPCs then start SoA anew with new NPC mods :-(

Waaaaaaaaaaay tooooo many Mods IMO.

Did you install the official patch first?

Did you install G3 fix pack second?

Both of these are absolutes musts first and formost or your just going to have problems no mater what mods you install. Install these first and then trim your list and retry with Saerileth, that would be my suggestion. And check your order of installation before you install to make sure things are in the right order.

TCoM has done some excellent mods, but my impression (possibly incorrect) is that they haven't updated them for compatibility. Nor are they in general use, so that newer mods don't usually take their presence into account.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I never had any problems with Saerileth except that the reward you get from Tyr when you defeat Demogorgan can't be used. Of course you could just cheat in the effects easily enough.

There is no such thing as total compatibility. You have that many mods installed in a game, you are bound to have conflicts. This isn't like Oblivion or Fallout 3 where you can dump in a bunch of mods and you're good to go. This is an old game that had no tools released for it for the modder in mind.

Taking advice I have trimmed my mods down and am now including Yas and Sola in my restarted party, Sari will be next time round.
