I just got done reading up on Specializations looking for Champion and here is what I found.
The champion is a veteran warrior and a confident leader in battle. Possessing skill at arms impressive enough to inspire allies, the champion can also intimidate and demoralize foes. These are the heroes you find commanding an army, or plunging headlong into danger, somehow making it look easy.
The champion is one of four specializations available to a warrior at levels 7 and 14. After acquiring the specialization, the character will gain access to four new talents and be granted +2 willpower and +1 cunning.
How to Unlock: This specialization is awarded by Arl Eamon in Redcliffe Castle after you've healed him with Andraste's ashes, though it can also be taught by Loghain if your approval rating is high enough.
I found the manuals and it seems like there is no manual for Champion but the rest of the Specilizations seem to have one ( I could be wrong as I am not that familiar with all the others). I had planned to Spoiler
kill both Arl EAmon and Loghain for being traitors which is all they deserve.
I did not chose it but I got Beserker I think around level seven. I think I accidently read the manual when I had planned that for my Tank.
No manual for Champion then what is the use of getting the specialization at level 7. Heck by the time I get to level 14 the only ways to get Champion will both be dead.
This sucks royally !!!!

Manuals just unlock the specs: they're not limited to one character. In fact, once you read a manual, it unlocks the spec for ALL your characters you'll ever make and each and every partymember. Same with unlocking them through playing, like Spoiler
convincing Alistair to teach the Templar skills.
The Champion can be obtained by following the mainquest, namely (spoiler) Spoiler
Eamon isn't a traitor, please read carefully and use spoiler tags.
Not all specs have manuals, they are unlocked through play. The Arcane Warrior is a sidequest, for example, while Spoiler
Alistair can teach you the Templar spec, and Leliana the Bard, Zevram the Assassin,...

My mistake I got two Arls mixed up. SPOILER ALERT Spoiler
I guess I need to find the Urn and save Arl Eamon.
I guess if you have seen one you seen them all. ... . . ...

Arcane warrior is a lost art which according to the game lore and you are supposed to rediscover it. Becoming a reaver requires a particular completion of a certain quest and is more ideal for evil characters.
