Paper dolls: ranged and melee weapons

Post by fable »

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but it didn't appear to me as though I could give a party character both melee and ranged weapons to use as needed. They either have one ready, or the other, after I laboriously swap them out from the inventory screen. Am I wrong about this? If not, it certainly appears to be a step back from the intuitive old way of doing things in the Bioware 2D RPGs.

I believe you can do the swapping via hotkeys, making it easier, but otherwise, yeah, you can't have both weapons equipped at the same time.

-that's a bit more realistic, no? ;)

BTW, look in their character sheet behavior section - you can set it up so that they do this automatically through a combination of settings.

And I'm sure you know the riposte to that: if I'd wanted reality, I wouldn't be playing a game. :D

I'll check that out. Thanks.
