The Cat-Fish-Frog Tavern

Post by fable »

Well, we do need another tavern thread. And we've never had a thread that featured a cat-fish-frog. So...

Have at it.

Now, how would you turn this "cat-fish-frog" theme to drinks?

But anyhow, I'll take one white russian, please.

Anyway, will pop in later for a drink... hopefully one with non-animal ingredients :D

You could always try out the beansprout-alfalfa-broccoli-wheatgrass shake. Going for only $3.99.

I would be more concerned about the fact that this tavern was created by fable!

Can't remember any tavern thread made by him, so this must be one of his strange plans to take over the world and gain faithful followers... :D

True, I've never done a tavern, before. I have done bars and grills, usually with some sort of curried theme, but the chicken kerala kept coming to life and eating the posters. It was madness, I tell you! So now I'm focusing cat-fish-frogs, and pig-dog-snakes, and beansprout-alfalfa-broccoli-wheatgrass (thanks, Loki), and maybe, if I get really ambitious, lobster-cinnamon-chicken-subway-token. The drinks, of course, are standard, with the usual beers, wines, duffs, gins and teutonics, teutonic plates, champagnons, etc. Open for talk 24/7! All currencies accepted. :)

That just sounds way too healthy, even by my standards... :speech:

I'm off to this establishment instead... I don't normally eat quite like this all the time (I'd go broke very quickly! ), but it's a belated birthday celebration.. ;)

I think my visa was debited by looking at that picture. :)

@Fable, beer please, something cold and local. Will Tandoori be on the menu later?

Any and all beers that have ever been or ever will be can be had. :) And tandoori is on the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Also, the after-midnight-snack menu, for those late poetry slams. And the post-2 AM snack menu. And the 5 AM milk run.

We are thinking of adding it at 10 AM, for our Dr. Pepper socials. What do you think, candidly: is it overkill?

lol! :D Well, like I said, we certainly eat far more basically than that most of the time.... this was just a special treat, and a celebration of a few things ;)

Hmmm... so does this place serve anything that goes well on a decidedly full stomach?

Oh my. That little place certainly looked homely. And as for me, despite the amount of type-out-your-character's-story roleplaying I do, I've never been to a bar and grill. As for taverns, well, they make me wish I lived inside Baldur's Gate, and that can be interpreted in any way you want.

Worms fried in a deep batter. Light refreshment that is healthier than French Fries and tastier than escargots. I'm sure you'll find that to your liking.

Or you could always opt for a sausage instead :D

are all the cat-fish-frog ingredients grown "fresh" on site?
She's got a smile that, it seems to me, reminds me of childhood memories, where everything is as fresh as the bright blue sky.

Aside from the ones grown by our patrons. We ask no questions. :)

Ah. I was noticing a lack of saucy political threads. :)

I'll have a retro Cheney Cognac please. That's a thick cigar, a 1738 Rémy Martin and an obtuse 'get the f*** out of congress!' :)

Either that, or this place really serve them as meals. I'm just saying. :p
