KOTOR III Rumor News Thread, Part Two
@philosoldier: I agree that at this point, all discussion regarding opinions/thoughts on a possible KOTOR MMO should be given it's own thread, and this one reserved soley for the plumbing of the latest rumors, since there is a relatively reputable batch circulating around now.

Folks, if you could keep your ears open for around May 24th for any information about the game, post it here. My unit will be doing its AT until early July, so hopefully there will be some sort of announcement about the game by then. For those of you interested in getting updates on KOTOR rumors and other KOTOR related news, use Knights of the Old Republic - Google News to help with getting more news. Also check out Bioware's site forum which is here... BioWare - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Forum Index or Obsidian's forums which are here... Obsidian Forum Community -> KotOR2
Good hunting.
Good hunting.

That picture look more like KOTOR 2 except with an unfamiliar background. I suspect someone who knows picture editing put some character from KOTOR 2 and merge it into the background of another game from the looks of it.that_one_dude wrote:idk if its real or not but it looks convincing to me notice the background detail hmmm idk........

I think it is most likely that Bioware kept the game under wraps, given that they set up their Austin studios sometime last year, which specialises in making MMOs. It's not hard to keep the game under wraps, as long as the developers and the staff stay silent about it's development during this period.Darth Huddz wrote: Do you think its possible that they are keeping this game a secret and that it has been in development for a few months or do you think that it would be 2 hard for them to do this?

I was looking at a forum about Star Wars games and some guy popped up saying Kotor III is in development but this was a old post from 2006 and I think he was just tryin' to get peoples hopes up but I don't know it was posted Decenber 2006 (I think I know it was 06' but I'm not sure if it's December)

If they are keeping this a secret, it's an amazing feat. But don't you think it'd be a little nice if they could let something leak every once in a while?![]()

P.S. Hello and welcome back, RBitG.

Yes, well, as you say; they're certainly leaving it a while... how long has it been since the release of K2?DesR85 wrote:Or make official announcements from time to time.Yeah, good point, though. People will soon forget that this game ever existed if nothing new is reported prior to it's announcement. I think it depends at the same time. As an example, Nintendo didn't release much information about their Wii console before it's release but yet it generated a lot of interest among the populace and the gaming press.
My thanks. Nice to see some familiar faces around here.P.S. Hello and welcome back, RBitG.![]()

Late 2004 for the XBox version and early 2005 for the PC version. Probably been 2 plus years already.RBitG wrote:Yes, well, as you say; they're certainly leaving it a while... how long has it been since the release of K2?
You're welcome.RBitG wrote: My thanks. Nice to see some familiar faces around here.
You should check out news from gaming sites as they're more reliable than the news in a forum. And yes, I know how you feel. I went through the same thing when I fell for that hoax article about some World of Starcraft at Gamespot on April Fool's Day last year.Jedi Guardian wrote: but there are many MANY rumors of K3 that I find and I hate it when people play jokes getting peoples hopes up (probably because I fall for em'![]()
