Iron Golem?

Post by psyborg »

I've always wondered one thing about Iron Golem when creating it from a weapon: Does it take the actual damage of the weapon, or only the magical tags of the weapon?

i.e. If you created it from a non-magical Colossus Blade, would it be affected by the 50-120-some damage that a Colossus Blade normally does? Thanks.

Yes it does. The bad thing is that when a two hand weapon that can also be used as a one hand weapon is used, the damage will be calculated from the one hand damage. Two hand damage only counts when the weapon can only be used as two hand.

The Iron Golem is affected by % Enhanced damage as well. Here is a list of the item properties that will work with the Iron Golem:

%Enhanced damage
+ Min/Max damage
Elemental damage
Chance for % deadly strike
Chance for crushing blow
Attacker takes damage, including elemental damage
+% Damage to Undead or Demons
Cast spell on attack
Cast spell on hit
Cast spell when hit
Chance for % open wounds
Faster by % run/walk
Faster hit recovery %
Hit blinds target
Hit slows target by %
Prevent monster heal
Knockback
Hit causes monster to flee

And defensive properties:

Defense vs Melee and Missile
Damage reduced works both by % and amount
Magic damage reduced
Can not be frozen
Fire, Lightning and Cold absorb.
