2 Pyramids se of grescal?

Post by nmyerson »

Anyone ever found these?

I just ran my guy se for a long, long time. Are there any other hints where these are located?

I've given this a shot once and got totally frustrated. Needless to say I didn't find the rumored pryamids. You head SE and eventually run into canyon walls. Follow the walls and you go in circles; which is amazing since your only headed West or East, which means you have traversed the globe!

If one is inclined, I would think the best attack would be to head SE and estimate the middle of the map. From there start a circular track ever widening until hopefully you find something.

Okay, I found one of them. Pyramid of the Dead. You head SE of Grescal and after a good trek you'll come upon two resurrection shrines. One just to the East of you and one just to the West. Head SW making a wide path. After a little way you should come upon a statue (a petrified adventurer). He will be in a position that looks like he is protecting his eyes or head from something. Head in the direction that he is looking (West). You'll come upon the pyramid after a short trek.

More Spoiler

You'll encounter a new beastie within (I forgot their name, but they are a larger version of the Lava Imps) where the Mage version uses multiple spells and the tank does spin kicks and a flip kick. The fighting animation was definately new to me. I ran out of time and was unable to finish the level.

I'll assume the other pyramid is due east of the shrines, but I have not checked that out.

From the Hub you can go directly SW ( but i have heard that if you go any direction (sw, se, nw, ne) that you will run into one, I know when I am getting close when I heard the wind.

Good Luck,

How to find the pyramids (from UnderSiege.org)
The Pyramids of the Dead and of the Sprits are hidden well. So do not be surprised if you get lost in the Endless Dunes trying to find them. The townspeople give directions to the pyramids but do not tell you where to start from in town. To find them start at the H.U.B System in Grescal. Keep in mind that they are very small objects in a huge map. This hint works but you must click to walk the right direction for the whole time or you will miss them. So if at first you don't succeed start a new game and try again.

To travel to the Pyramid of the Spirits, first click on the "L" in the word "HELIOS" on the platform. Next, position the flame from the torch to burn over the "G" in Grescal. The first screen shot shows the correct positioning of the character, the torch, and the compass. Finally, click on the little line coming from the small circle in the center of the compass that is between the "S" and "E" on the compass. You will then head in the direction of the pyramid. It takes about 10 minutes to reach it so keep clicking and have faith. The second screen shot is of the Pyramid of the Spirits when you arrive there.

To travel to the Pyramid of the Dead, first click on the "E" in the word "UTRAE" on the platform. Next, position the helm of your character in the center of the column. The first screen shot shows the correct positioning of the character, the column, and the compass. Finally, click on the little line coming from the small circle in the center of the compass that is between the "S" and "W" on the compass. You will then head in the direction of the pyramid. It takes about 5 minutes to reach it so keep clicking and have faith. The second screen shot is of the Pyramid of the Dead when you arrive there.
