Repeating dialogue

Post by SupaCat »

Viconia is starting to get on my nerves... She keeps repeating the same dialogue over and over. If I install a patch, will it go away and will the romance go on as it should? Or will the romance fix itself when it reaches an area where there is fixed dialogue.

How do I actually see the patch number? Because maybe the game is already up to date.

In game, if you select the options icon (bottom icon on the lef, looks like a floppy disk) the version number is printed in the top of the screen in the centre.

The sort of thing that's driving you nuts can happen when you're at a stage where you have to be in a certain area or stage of the game to advance the romance further and you aren't there. This often happens after entering Spelllhold, or the underdark. If for instance the romance can't advance until you've had a conversation with your romance partner after Phaere wants to bed you, then you will get recycled dialog until that event transpires.

It could be just a bug of course. The latest ToB patch I have is 26498, which updates the game to version 2.5.26498.

My games seems to be up to date, so I guess it'll just keep recycling until a certain point. Thanks anyway.
