Hi guys,
I suddenly got this glitch on my Oblivion game. I was doing the Leyawiin Recommendation quest when suddenly I found out that all the damage I had been taken went directly to my helmet. The other parts of the armor where always at a 100 percent even though the helmet was at 0 and the foe kept attacking me.
The other weird thing that happened is that each time that I use a repair hammer it can only be used once and then it breaks.
I've been looking for some advice about this but it seems it is a rare glitch. I tried loading previous saves from before I started the quest and the glitch is there.
Has someone had a similar situation?

Stat Glitches?!
Good Morning, Arturosc!
Hm. To me, it seems like you are describing a stat glitch, maybe. For example, with my newest current character, something seems to have affected her Magicka bar as it is nearly empty. Looking at the Spell Affects menu, nothing shows up that may be causing her to be that way, such as an illness or a curse. Waiting doesn't help, nor does sleeping. Drinking potions keeps it a little bit above empty though, for a moment. Using various stones to recharge has no affect. Using "TGM" allows her to "run on empty". Good thing for her though, that she has a piece of jewelry that when worn, fills her Magicka to full. But when she removes it, it goes back down to nearly empty.
When the game is loaded, she is still in that state of being nearly empty, if she was saved with the jewelry, an amulet by the way, off, or unequipped.
The lowering of her Magicka somehow lowered her stats.
Something similiar has happened to previous characters, but with different aspects. One time it was very much like what you're describing.
My guess is, conflicting mods for one. Or, if it is just a glitch, then maybe it happened by doing something too fast or out of proper sequence.
My character read a book titled, "Enemies From Outer Space". It did the same thing to her that the book, "Oghma Infinium" would do. I'm guessing it was too soon to do that to her. Because the leveling advances leap forward in big bounds, rather than in small increments. Reading skill books no longer help her.
With a precious character, I had her do all of the Daedric Shrine Quests as soon as possible. When she read the "Oghma Infinium" she too began to have problems with her stats.
So my question to you is, have you made any errors in quest order, or something like that, that may be causing the problem you describe?

Shhh! Be very quiet! I may be sleep writing and sleep reading!
