Good Morning, Forum Folks!
Yesterday, a Sunday for me, I was playing the game, staying up too late again, and that has put me on a new cycle of staying up late, et cetera, but I digress. I'd just won the Battle of the Imperial City with Apple Candy Cane.
I had her passing time at Cloud Ruler Temple until her new armor was ready.
When I do that with my player characters, I like to enchant the Blades's gear and set them to essential. Before, I've had trouble with Cyrus in that I can enchant his gear for him, but he wouldn't set to essential!
Well, now I finally know why! Yahoo! Hurray! Cheers! Et al!
I wasn't too sleepy to not investigate this time around.
I have a mod named "Encyclopedia Cyrodellica" that allows player characters to purchase scrolls from "The First Edition". These scrolls contain the various Console codes. One of the ones listing the Non-Player Characters has a number for "Cyrus" to make him essential with. However, it fails to do so! I do recall vaguley having made him essential once before though, but I forget the exact circumstances for back then.
However this time I thought of going to the "UESP" site to look for Cyrus's number and I found it. Then I used it and he was set to "Essential" at long last! I do that so that I can summon things to watchthe Blades in combat as a group, without them dying. I summon goblins, bandits, and maurauders. After the fun, I loot the dead and turn them into ewes as the Blades continue on alive and well.
Once I had Cyrus set up, I was curious as to what would happen if I used the Console command, "Player.PlaceAtMe". So I did it! A female Cyrus with the funny hair style with the bald spot in the middle appeared and she was a Reguard too! So I talked to her and set her up to be a Blade with enchanted gear too.
The male Cyrus, his Reference ID is: 0003759D. But the number that sets him to Essential is his Base ID: 00037574.
Now if is you want to play with the female Cyrus, her "PlaceAtMe" number and "Set Essential" number is: 0001DB3E. I renamed her "Mistress Cyrus" to pretend he either is married or has a sister with the same name!
Now what makes this a question posting for me is: "Have any of you discovered this about Cyrus before?"
Also I have an idea that because I'd set the male up the way I did, that was why I got a female instead of another male. But now I recall having clones before that didn't change genders simply because the original was set to "Essential". So then, just the one question.... Scratch that!
Those of you that can play with the Construction Set, here's a bigger question! "Why are there two people of the same name and race, but one female and one male?" (At least I haven't found a bisexual hermaphrodite version!)
So anyway, thanks for any answers! Have a good day folks! It is now, Monday, 05:10 A.M. for me.
