Oblivion hardcore challenge (spoiler)
Oblivion hardcore challenge (spoiler)
Some or one of the Assassins at the start, before the Emperor dies(it is not the assassin which kills emp) has a pickpocketable bound mace(which is permanent and hits hard because it's daedra). I have done this on PC and Xbox360. Have funz.

Hello, Typhoeus!
Does this tactic require ignoring the Tutorial pop-ups and the Goblins and loot, to get ahead of the Emperer and his escorts, so as to ambush the hidden Assassins and pickpocket them?
I've somehow looted their armor before only to have it vanish inside my inventory. So could it be another glitch?
For as fas as I know, the only way to keep Bound objects, is to repair them up to 125 and enchant them. So does this now mean that pickpocketing is like an exploitable loophole?

Hello, Typhoeus! I just noticed your join date and post count! Welcome to the forum!Typhoeus wrote:It seems to be some kind of glitch. It requires bugging out the Emperor and guards so they don't activate the assassins just past the door after the Emperor asks about your starsign![]()
Now, back to the topic. I don't think that I've tried pickpocketing them like that. I've used either "TCL" or running very fast, to surprise the Assassins as they hide in their secret rooms waiting to ambush the party. Sometimes I'm not invisible and just kill them. But when I've tried stealth, they talk about events that haven't happened yet! Or may just stand there silently waiting for their cue. Sometimes I've had pleasant talks with them before killing them. Other times I've recruited them for my personal army so they shouldn't be there to ambush. But that has caused problems. From respawning assassins to quest breaking to the game or computer freezing up or crashing.
My current character killed the assassin meant to kill the Emperor by standing in the spot where the secret door opens. When the Emperor stays alive past his due date, his voice defaults from Patrick Stewart to another voice!
I must make a mental note to try your idea when I have another new character though!

Thanks and nice info from that area, hehe i never had Emperor survive before. About the funniest thing i had a tes king pin do, was to mind control Vivec to fight at my side, then get not far outside of his palace and see him get stuck under a pier and drown. I just started Oblivion again and found this website while looking for a player.additem code, had a bit of a read and was impressed by this community

Hello! You're welcome! Depending on your timing, you may or may not have to use the Console command, "EnablePlayerControls" (Maybe minus the "s"?)Typhoeus wrote:Thanks and nice info from that area, hehe i never had Emperor survive before. at that precise moment right after he hands the Amulet of Kings to you. It may also depend on where you're standing. Sometimes I've used the "Kill" command just to learn what would happen.
Heheh! I've seen waterfront brawls in both Anvil and Imperial City, with people fighting and trying not to drown at the same time. Then to eventually watch the bodies slowly bob to the surface, unless they're stuck under a ship.
