two weeks ago i bought the complete pack that was oblivion and the two expansion all in one, i loaded oblivion and started the main quest after a while i installed the two expansions which came on one disk, i got the message stating a new door way had opened.. ignoring this and carrying on with the main quest , any way after a few days i decided to to take a look at the 'new doorway' and followed the quest marker out into the middle of the water and was greeted by a cluster of yellow triangles with exclaimation marks , also the quest starter for knights of the nine dialogue didnt appaer with any of ncps' around anvil, i had noticed as well on some quest when entering ruins i found area's that had the yellow triangle with the exclaimation mark.
i saw this a few time when modding my morrowind game years ago, so i unistalled everything and reinstalled both oblivion and the expansions at the same but still have the same problem when trying to locate the new doorway ,
anyone any idea why this should be i assume that this version of oblivion is quite a recent one with any bugs fixed but even after reinstalling i cannot see anyway to start the expansion quests. any hints would be most welcome.

I don't know the answer to this problem, BUT I DO know that it is essential to defrag before installing Elder Scrolls games, especially if your pc is not up to optimum recommended specifications.

Hmm... very odd... I assume by "the complete pack" you bought the Game of the Year Edition?
I bought it myself a few months ago and I haven't had any problems.
Those triangles with the exclamation points indicate missing meshes, which suggests to me that you somehow have an incomplete version of the game.
I'm no techie, but I'd advise returning it to whichever outlet you bought it at.
Before that though, you may want to post up on the official forums, somebody there might be able to help you trouble shoot as well.
Also, have you patched the game with the most recent appropriate patch?

Advisable if you've been running on the same hard drive for a long time without defragging no matter what you're installing, but definitely not essential.Fljotsdale wrote:I don't know the answer to this problem, BUT I DO know that it is essential to defrag before installing Elder Scrolls games, especially if your pc is not up to optimum recommended specifications.
