Nice puns, Fable!

Anyway, about the game settings an such. Okay, I saw this TV show special, that I think was called, "Now & Then". The segment that stood out the most to me, was the video game one. For "Then" they showed "Pong" and compared it to, for "Now", "TESIV: Oblivion"! When I saw it I said, "Hey, that's Oblivion! Wow! It looks great! Hey, now why doesn't my game look that great?!" Now I don't know if that was some of that video demostration footage I never saw before, or if it was some footage of a super video game player doing very well. Either way, I still want to look that great!

So how do I get my game to play and look that well? Or is it not possible? I try to set my computer or the game for the best options, and it does fine for a while, but then I have to let it reset to "defaults". So where do I look up the data needed to let me inform you of what you need to know to help me get the best with what I've got?
Shhh! Be very quiet! I may be sleep writing and sleep reading!
Who said, "It is not whether you get knocked up, but whether you can get down!"? ;)
