I need quest console code

Post by Ildun »

Sorry to say that NWN2 is the most bugged game I ever play. Especially after installed MOTB and updated with patches, new bugs just coming up...not those tiny funny bugs but bugs which cause me stuck in main quest line.

I grow tired to keep post new thread to ask or search for solution, I hope someone know and can provide me the list of command which use to update the quest or get plot items.

Can anyone help me on this?

* Now I am stuck at ironfist belt bug ( should be well known )

You might have better luck trying at the official NWN2 boards at obsidian's website.

So? It's perfectly safe. Just enter your CD-key.

Well, you still could browse their forum and search for an answer there? It gives a better chance than just asking here. I don't have such a could, else I'd give it to you.

buggy game???

I ran that game on a different computer and had no plot-breaking problem with it at any time.

H O W E V E R

I recently installed both NWN2Gold and Storm of Zehir but could not update to 1.21.1549 (?). The updater gave an error about the file not being correct after already working through a number of other files on the game.

The problem was a corrupted install.

I had to remove the program and set the computer to restart with minimal services running before it would install correctly. Getting that restart required the use of the configuration panel in WinXP; if you do not know what you are doing there, get help.
On second thought, since I have now posted better instructions elsewhere, I will repeat them here.
  1. If you have Norton's AV (probably including web security) installed, remove the program from your system following their website advice to TOTALLY remove it before continuing.
  2. remove NWN2
  3. set the computer to reboot with almost nothing running
    • run "msconfig"
    • go to the services tab and disable anything that that is not MANDATORY for your system to operate making sure to keep the windows installer enabled.
    • go to the startup tab and disable anything that is not required for the system to operate.
  4. restart the computer and reinstall NWN2. (if the install doesn't work, go back to msconfig and enable the windows installer service and then restart the system again.)
  5. after the reinstall completes, go back to msconfig and enable only those options that are required to access the internet (HTTP, DNS, network logons, but not "remote" anything) for the autoupdater to run.
  6. after the autoupdater is finished, go back into msconfig and enable all options that you previously disabled and restart the 'puter
It's better to be a live jackal than a dead lion, but it is better still to be a live lion (and normally easier as well).
