Dwarven Starting Skill Ranks

On the page for Dwarven Trait with no special background it reads that the character starts with +2 Ranks to all Tech skills. On the following page to distribute points it shows only 2 skill points applied to all Tech skills.

Is the '+2 Ranks' a typo or are the skill points applied to Tech skills a bug and should be 2 Ranks?

Also, is this the default and any special background would only accumulate?

You don't get +2 ranks to all tech skills, you only get a small bonus.

It should say +2 rank to tech skills, but you don't get them.

the way skill ranks are done is fairly wierd. For every one character point you spend on a skill you get 5 ranks in that skill, up to a maximum of 20 in any one skill. So you do actually get +2 ranks... but not +2 character points worth of ranks.

Actually, each character point is +4 skill points. Therefore the +2 bonus is 1/2 a character point.
