Ok, here goes. I tried installing several mods, and when I go to play the game, it starts, then crashes on me. I try to start again, same thing. Is it the mods I am putting in, or is it the game itself? I do have it patched to the latest version, available at the Bethesda Software website. As to the patches, I've put in the following, in no particular order: BAB Final Adventuress Wares, JQ Backpacks, and several of Kalikuts textures, armor, etc.

I'll answer the second question first, I'm playing in full screen. And sometimes it would get to the Bethesda Software screen, but most of the time it wouldn't get that far.
The mods I took out, all but a could of them. Actually I reinstalled the game, from scratch. Now I am going to be careful in what I add. I think I had too many mods to get it running.

I personally think that it's the mod, because I myself sometimes get a Thumb.db file inside some mod.
And now I can't launch the game in Windowed mode, with or without mods.
So, what happened after you reinstalled the game?

There is nothing you can't do, at least if you have enough patience to keep trying.
It went back to normal. I can't get two of the "official" mods to work. However, I think that is due to have a game in progress. I'll add them back in when I play again.
I usually unpack the mods in a different folder, then move them from there. What I am going to do is make sure that there's not and thumbs.db to interfere with things. That might be a good lesson for all of us to follow.
