Fortifier

Post by Brf1 »

I was trying out some of these things you can make, and tried out Fortifier on Virgil, thinking it might help him with his Fatigue, but it seemed to do nothing.

After few game-minutes, it wore off and Virgil lost half of his HPs and FPs. His disposition to me changed to -1000 and he attacked.

So apparently, Fortifier by itself is either useless or bugged.

Bugged maybe. As for the useless part... yes I think it is, if Virgil is pretty 'magickal' already - fortifier is a 'tech' thing so it may simply doesn't work on him.

I tried it on myself too, with a high tech-rating character and had the same result: I think it might have restored one or two HPs and FPs when taken, but when it wore off, I lost about 40% of my HPs and FPs.

Maybe it's how it works, I don't know. I don't remember what exactly it's supposed to do, but possibly it raises some of your stats for a time and then, after the effect wears off it drops these stats below your normal level temporarily, so you lose HPs and FPs.
