blood on the ground

Is there a way to remove blood on the ground? As in, there was a corpse here, I went to another section, came back, and I can't take any items because the blood is covering them? In FO2.

I suppose waiting a bit longer can help. If you "pixelhunt" with the cursor, the item will probably be visible under the blood. (For me anyway.)

Sadly no, but I eventually found out that if you leave for some time and then come back, there'll be no blood. But, pixelhunting won't work if the item is below the blood and fully covered.

Actually, the pixelhunting does work in the case you represented. I know it because I have done it many, many times. Hard work, and usually it's mistaken impossible as it could very well be one pixel or two that triggers the picking up, but for every item it's there. Just look harder.

Though the easiest way is the way you described: Wait a bit more, till the blood vanishes. Can't remember the timeframe quite now, but I think after couple of hours in-game-time should suffice.
