The bloody handkerchief! *spoiler*

Post by Jamaye »

I want to visit the other planes again because I was told I could revisit them again using a cheat by finding the portal that was in the exact same place as when you first found it and the bloody handkerchief. That is where I am stuck. I have the portal, I have a handkerchief but I can't get the blood on the handkerchief. Someone help me out here. Thanks.

I don't know anything about traveling the plains again, but if you kill Ravel's daughter, she should have a bloody handkerchief on her corpse.

Okay, thanks! I'm a little worried that killing ravel's daughter will get me in trouble though. If anyone has another ideas that would be great too. :)

Handkerchiefs???

Can anyone help me with actually finding a handkerchief? I have a feeling that when I first went into the brothel, I picked up all of the handkerchiefs, because I'm so thorough like that, and I don't know. Sold them? Gave them away? Whatever I did, now that I actually need one I can't find one. Anywhere! I've looked in shops. I've looked in chests. Nowhere! I need one desperately to get any further in the game. Can anyone help?

PS Sorry for the other post; I didn't realise all the replies came to the top as well.

Chanja, I'm having the same problem. Picked them all up as I raided every openable container and now I have no clue where I dropped them. Probably to make room for something else because they seemed so pointless at the time. :/

I had that problem as well, basically I downloaded an editor and gave myself one.

I tried the editors tactic, but the only ones I can find either don't work (for one reason or another) or didn't even have the damn handkerchief listed as an item to add! Maybe you could point me in the direction of the one you used.

PSTHack doesn't do inventory and the TormentHack (with GUI) didn't have it in the item list. And the TormentHack (Command-line) was plain annoying. Who still uses .bat's?!

The others from Sorcerers.com didn't work. (Got fatal errors upon load, even with the VB6 plug-in.)

This is getting really frustrating! So I'm down to HEX editing and oddly enough, just as oddly as the handkerchief not appearing in the Inventory Editors, I can't find anywhere that tells the HEX item string for the handkerchief. Voldenuit's Item Hex Codes is PRETTY thorough, but it lacks the handkerchief. Even the Bloody Handkerchief. (which would skip a necessary trigger anyway.)

I would ask someone who knows how to hex edit to grab a handkerchief and the hex code for me, but I doubt anyone will do that. Hell even if you don't know how to Hex edit, and you want to try something new and awesome that makes you feel like a supernerd I'll tell you how. Or you can google it. Or you can use this great guide.

Please, someone, unless you have a better idea. Help me out here, I don't want to start over because of a stupid handkerchief. :/

I'm pretty sure there's one somewhere in the area of the Festhall that contains your room. The name of the container is "little spot", so it might be tough to find the container, but it's there somewhere.
