Paralysis isn't used widely enough by enemies to warrant any kind of build. Redguards also don't get any bonus in the way of magical resistance, so that won't help you out either. Their biggest advantages are Adrenaline Rush and the skill bonuses they get on light armor, blade and blunt weapons. Try restarting as an Orc. Cast the odd enchantment spell and with the Atronauch birthsign on top of all of that there isn't much any spell can do to you.

It is pretty easily replaced with a good spell or two. But not without the loss of a portion of your stat allocation, since you're a melee orientated Redguard. Until you can cast powerful enough spells that is. Magic absorbing/reflecting or potions will get you there all the same.

Don't worry about paralysis. I've only ever met it from the spiderlings sent out by Spider Daedra, and it doesn't last long enough to be a real problem. If you are good with a melee weapon and fast enough to get to the spider daedra before she sends 'em out, you won't have any trouble. I have never even bothered with cure paralysis spell or potions with any of my chars.
