Trouble installing titan quest

Post by s0undphile »

When I install titan quest, it simply says ''installshield has encountered an error'' and that's it..... -_- anyone else ever experience this?

I've tried googling it endlessly, and every error I've encountered was more specific. Help please, anyone??

Well, I installed the Titan Quest demo on Windows Vista yesterday and I have to right click 'run as administrator' in order to install it. What OS are you using, by the way?

Os

I'm on xp. I didn't see anything where I could install as administrator. It lets me install, it just screws up on like disc 4 every time lol. "Installshield has encountered an error" which is vague.

That's weird. I probably suspect that your disc 4 could be corrupt. You could try using a data recovery software like CDCheck to recover data from that disc. It worked for me in the case of Gothic 3. ;)

Have you tried copying the data from all discs to the hard drive and installing from there? It might help.

Nice! Thanks a bunch. I'll have to check it out. I have to work in the morning and it's late so I'll have to wait til tomorrow. I emailed the guy that sold it to me (I bought it off of Amazon) and he shipped me another disc 4. That was pretty cool of him. Thanks again.
