stuck at Onderon Sky ramp - spoiler

came back the second time around playing the light side, trying to rescue queen Talia in palace, in the sky ramp cant open the second force shield, since I use Bao Duur in the Sith Tomb I dont have him to disable the force shield and when I go to the control terminal where you play the turret mini game it does not give me the option, how do I disable the force shield? this is the shield that you face immediately after the cut scene of the dark jedis killing some of Vaklus troop as punsihment for breaking the line

Tried mines and throwing all kind of grenades but did not work. Have Kreia and Atton in my party

Just go through all the avilable options on the console, or, if that does not work, search for a console in another location. However, I think there was only one.

The console only shuts down the first field. The second field has to be shut down the direct way; if you don't have Bao Dur in your party, you can always use a lightsaber. Just use the "bash" action with a lightsaber equipped and no more shield...

Oldzombie mentioned he was having problems activating the mini game as well... and that is before the force fields, IRCC.

thanks for the reply, Hill I managed to play the mini game so there was no problem with that and yes I did try using the bash options with my character having two light sabers but it just keeps saying that the force shield cannot be bashed you need either Bao Duur or some other way.

I have used my character with two sabers and a double handed saber as well, like I mentioned earlier I have Kreia and Atton in my party, I have tried Kreia and my character both going at the force shield together with light sabers and that hasn't helped

Have you checked the nearby corpses or the barracks for any sort of console or keycard? Is there a lock or something in one of the options for the console? Try going outside, and if there is a person on the other side of the shield, try speaking to them.

No problem, Oldzombie. I'll go and see if I missed something in the walkthrough.

I went to check the walkthrough, and it placed that console you need to open the forcefields in the same area as you use to combat the fighters, in the tower. Best of luck to you. If you are having problems, perhaps you should savbe and try some of the options that may seem crazy on the console, if there are any, such as 'destroy console'.

I just did this myself about a day or so ago, the console in the tower only opens the first field. When I got to the second line (i was, unfortunatley, playing LS) I told the men to run, I went through that whole cut scene where the sith lords in back cut down the fleeing deserters. I did not have the option to bash open the door, rather I came up with the ability to 'use lightsaber' look for that, you'll know youre doing it right when your character promptly takes there saber it shoves in the middle of the feild, after a moment it will dissapate and the slaughter can begin. You cna use your saber like this on any locked door instead of bashing or security.

sorry for being a stickler but what did you do phreddie to get the use saber option? did you click on it? did u try bashing and then that option showed up?

tried all sorts of thing still stuck :-(

If you select the forcefield, you have three widnows. Same as a door. If you have a lightsaber equipped, then you do not bash. You 'Use Lightsaber', and it stabs the lightsaber into the target.

It may only work on the second. If this does not work, then sorry, you must have a bug, unless there is a fix I am unaware of. Try reloading before making the skyramp or before getting to that point, or attempt to reinstall your game. If that does not work... sorry. I can't think of anything else. Hope you stay around on GameBanshee.

Well, just a little addition, for the google'ers like myself.
It may succeed after a few attempts. So just keep on poking that lightsaber into the forcefield.
