Totl - Trapdoors

I'm in the northwest tower of the castle. I've spoken with Harald and I've moved the lever. According to the walkthrough a trapdoor should open on the left side of the screen. I can't find it. I've moved the cursor all over the screen, I've had my thief search for traps. Nothing. HELP!

The levers in the towers open trapdoors in different towers. So if, for example, you pull lever A in tower A, the trapdoor in tower B will open.

Thanks!

I saw your reply the day after it was posted but we were leaving town. I checked it out today and everything works fine. I knew the lever worked for a tower other than the one I was in but I thought the Northwest lever must work for the Southwest tower since the stairs to the other towers were broken. I was surprised when they mended themselves when I tried to climb.
