I couldn't resist testing that option out. So I quicksaved and got to talking to her. It goes like this:

I'm currently in the process of reconfiguring my computer. One of the major changes that will hopefully be implemented is a change of operating system from Windows 98 SE.

For some reason, the toolset lists Maugrim as being Lawful Neutral or something like that. Strange huh? I think he might even be neutral good which would be really wierd.
A +5 vs. neutral would seem to be the best cloak because it works against five alignments, lawful ...

So you you took feats like Lightning Reflexes, Great Fortitude and Iron Will to up your saving throws? That seems a little excessive considering the monk's saving throws are the best in the game already.

As for power attack and improved power attack, I like them especially for bashing chests and ...

Oddly enough, if I play as an elf, I can start with these stats and I get all the cool elf feats:

STR: 14 / +2
DEX: 16 / +3
CON: 12 / +1
INT: 10 / +0
WIS: 16 / +1
CHR: 8 / -1

Same as if I were human, but now I can converse without referring to myself as "me" instead of "I."

How did you get these stats? What did they look like at the beginning of the game?

Don't get me wrong, I loved AotC. I thought it was a great movie... just not especially for the acting or the romance lines. I only used it as an example because a lot of people were disappointed with how cheesy some of the love lines were.

I checked the toolset. Why does Aribeth have weapon focus (longsword) and improved critical (longsword) when she clearly uses a bastard sword? What's the point?

As for the other NPC's, I really didn't like that Lord Nasher dude. He was just plain rude and senile. Maybe that's where Aribeth got her ...

When I first met after the prelude her she said something along the lines of "You were there! You saw the slaughter!" and I immediately thought, "Oh, no! MELISSAN!!!"

Everything she says sounds forced or like she's string words together after the fact.

But in the official rules, is 13 Int a prereq or did they confuse the the prereqs for Imp. Knockdown with those of Imp. Disarm?

In another thread we are covering the possibility of Bioware having mixed up the prerequisites for Improved Disarm with Improved Knockdown. For some odd reason, a 13 in intelligence is required to take the Improved Knockdown feat when the only prerequisites listed in the manual are having already ...

Ok, I've been trying to figure this one out for a few hours now and still no answers...

I should be able to take improved knockdown after level 7, but some reason that I haven't figured out yet I can't. Is it because I'm dual wielding? Is it because of my ability scores? What's the problem here?

Now I know that you have to have a base attack bonus (BAB) of +7 and already have knockdown to get improved knockdown. The problem is that with my dual-wielding bastard sword fighter, for some reason it doesn't show up on my list of selectable feats after I reach level 8. Since my BAB at level 8 ...

I reinstalled 1.20 and everything is working like clockwork now. What's with the new patch anyway? Something about secuROM that makes the game suck? Anyone wanna explain how this new program is making the game "unplayable?"
