Speaking of which, I'm looking for a new RPG to tide me over until Bioware's Dragon Age comes out... would y'all recommend the 2 Deus Ex games? Before you ask, I've played EVERYTHING out there (except the Arcanum stuff, but for some reason I just don't want to try going there just yet), and have had ...

At least with Igni fear, they're also hurting, and there's a chance that they'll catch on fire, too.

Knights of the Old Republic: It was my "first time", and no matter how great things get afterwards, they'll never really reach up to how I remember this game being. Redeeming Revan... I was still young enough that it gave me warm-fuzzies, and made me a Star Wars fanboy for life.

Baldur's Gate II ...

If you work on Igni throughout the game, by the end you can use just it to pretty much toast all enemies. By the time you have it and your intelligence up, you can cast it a good 4 or 5 times, not counting any potions, without having to wait. It'll be a 360 degree circle of doom for all opponents ...

Stuff in the inns stays there until the end of forever.
You can play Carmen as a Novice if you need to.

To mark off the dead ends, I just created map markers on the dead end doorways that said "Dead End"... Although I did think of leaving stuff, I was too busy running b/c I didn't yet want to fight off all of the machines on hard mode.

The only way you'll ever be able to sell your crappy weapons is if you know that a better one is coming up.

As far as the "ineffective against monsters", it works. Sharp is sharp. Even drowners can get taken down if you use group/fast style with it, as can ghouls, although they are significantly ...

Hahahahaha! Wow... that's AWESOME.

You know what? They oughta hire Daniel Webster to defend their case... He did fine against "Old Scratch", it only seems the next natural step in his career to take on this case, too.

Lol, I did the exact opposite... I went back to the high elf mage that I played my "good guy" time through w/, and, after getting a few mods, made him a necromancer who stole the souls of all the people at every Mages' Guild possible, performed a ritual, and turned himself into a lich. Sort of a ...

Playing characters that are so twisted gives me a bit of a thrill... sorta like watching The Ring and having somebody who's number doesn't show up on caller ID call you halfway through... Needless to say, they had to leave a message, and I had to turn all the lights on...

I always play ...

And if worst comes to worst, you can flip over the little kikimores if you have your sword drawn (recommended, since you run a ton faster, and the default status for this little battle, if you're smart) by (in mouse-keyboard mode) double tapping the movement keys in the direction of the offending ...

Alas, like many book-video game crossovers, the character in the books (and, by extension, the cinematics) has all sorts of cool tricks that really just wouldn't all be able to fit into the engine chosen for the game. It is the Aard, but not in any form you can cast in-game.

What's wrong with a linear storyline? I don't get why people fuss so much about NOT getting a sandbox to play in. LIFE is linear... you're born, you die, and do a bunch of random crap in between. That's how NWN games play (only focused on a much shorter span of time). Not every game can be Morrowind ...

That's why you park your horse in a nice neighborhood, remember to put change in the meter, and check up on it every hour or so, no matter how ridiculous you look in a speedo in public (they're laughing WITH you, not AT you).

Yeah, on one of the sites you posted, it did mention how they made a deal w/ Interplay, and they do have Fallout II. I'll just keep my eyes peeled for a few weeks (bizarre phrase, now that I think about it), see if any further announcements are made. Any idea when the site's gonna go fully live?
