I'm Ready to start!

Hey everyone who was going to play in my game! I am going to need you to e-mail me so I know your e-mail addresses. I will be sending out the house rules and requirements ASAP!

I also need to know who has Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Word... Seems ...

P&P will not die while I am around! I will continue to buy the books and play the game. I don't want or need someone to tell me what that dragon looks like! I want to picture the face of that orcish shaman as I run him through with my sword! I will decide how that tavern keeper looks as I destroy ...

I think that I have got this BBS thing under control. I bought some Forum/Chat Room software, and I will be getting my mini-server pretty soon. We will see what happens! :D :D :D

I think that we will be better off playing a turn based game. I do, however, think that the turns should have a 48 hour turn around. I don't know about the rest of you but I have a wife and a mortage 2 cats and a full time job, plus I am going to college part time. My plate is pretty full right now ...

One of the things that I am really looking forward to is being able to make any character. I want to try and make a guy that is like Elminster. I know that they call him a Mage, but after reading the book "Elminster: Making of a Mage" I really think that he is a Fighter/Thief/Cleric/Mage. I want to ...

My favorite was always:

"Uh oh..."

Although another good one was:

"Don't get mad, but..."

@ Average Joe: I am going to set up a bulletin board for us to use. That way we can do anything we want! We can also log on and do our turns anytime we want! :D

I am actually looking at remaking alot of adventures that I made when I GM'd a long time ago. I want to see how they will look. I also have some really fun ideas to try out!

The Acrobat, Barbarian, Cavalier and Monk were all removed from the 2E rules because they were seen as overpowered. I personally loved the Acrobat add-on to the thief, but TSR didn't seem as thrilled as I was. Anyways, the characters didn't exist in 2E at all.

It is supposed to have 100 hours of solo game play. That is huge! I am pretty sure BG2 only has 60 or so hours. This is getting better every time I think about it! :D :D :D :D

I'll GM, at least to start. I have already bought a low end computer from e-bay to use as a server. Don't expect it to be too big on graphics, but we sure can role play on it. Let me get it running and I will let you all know. Just drop me an e-mail (It's in my profile) so I can get back with you! :D

These arts were considered essential in court life during the Middle ages. Also a Samurai, which is similar to a Paladin these were necessary skills, required to maintain thier honor. Who says that a paladin can't be a courtier? They are similar if not the same as a knight. But that is just me! :D

I have not even played the 3E rules and I can see the difference. It is definitely better in my opinion... Also, for those who think that BG2 is 2E, think again! They use 3E character classes (Barbarian/Monk). They use Half Orcs, and most of all, the resistance system is from 3E. It is a hybrid ...

I think (actually I hope) that that is a typeo. That sounds way to powerful! If I was a DM I would probably pull that item from my random treasure tables.

The cost is supposed to be based on the magical bonuses and then the special powers. If that is the way that they are pricing that item, then it ...

I usually look at spell components as a price of power. Mages are arguably the most powerful characters at high levels, but if you make it difficult to cast those high level spells, then it evens them out a bit. Just because a spell is in thier spell book dose not mean that they should be able to ...

I'm in! The only problem I could see is getting together at the same time! I am in the USA central time zone... That's 7 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time... Perhaps we could play by e-mail and put a time limit on the responses to keep the game moving.
