When you level up as a multi-class character, you gain half the hp you would have earned as this class :

IE :

Warrior / thief :

Warrior lvl up = 1d10 / 2
Thief lvl up = 1d6 / 2

i recently played through SoA / ToB as a fighter mage, and i'd say that using 2hand weapons is even better due to the following reasons :

1.) You'll want to use Staff of the magi

Dual wielding + 2hand weapons = pain in the.. well ;)

2.) 10% chance to crit on 2h weapons

3.) less specialisation ...

A well played monk owns.
You should reconsider your statment ;)
The only fight i couldn't get through was the last ToB fight with my Neutral Evil monk Girl.

-19 ac, 100 % magic resistance.. just owns.

Currently soloing SoA / ToB with a Fighter / thief, lots of fun :D

Edit, taken from one of my ...

Beating the game as a solo Mage

Well, since i already managed to go through BG2 & ToB as a Wild mage, i was wondering if it was possible to do the same in BG1 & ToSC.

Sooooo...

I did it !

You do need some tricks, but if you know how to make a good use of the BG1 spells, some fights are just well.. easy !

In order to "power-up ...

Well, i found that little wood elf w/ full ebony to be quite easy.
On the other hand, almalexia was much harder for me:

Hitting her with Trureflame, she would loose like 2-3% of her life per hit maximum, while her sword would tear through my 400 hp, 292 Armor with ease.

Now, i didn't use potions ...

Disappointed with Bloodmoon [Spoilers]

Well, while i enjoyed Tribunal as much as i enjoyed Morowind's mainplot, beside the first part of bloodmoon (when you have to travel through the whole island and restore the ancient stones) i found it well...

Not that great.

Nothing really usefull for a high level character there.

I'm curently ...

Bloodmoon :

Just started it, played tribunal first ;)

Tribunal :

Well, i just LOVED it ;)

Its action mostly takes place in the city of mournhold.
It's VERY different from bloodmoon from what i've experienced.

If you think you're far from everything, just use a little spell called "Divine Intervention".
Voila, you're in Wolverine Hall.
Enter, then take the left door, get up the stairs enter the facind door.

There you go, Mage Guild.

It's really not that bad ;)

The best critical i've ever had with my PC (Assassin ;) ) using staff of the ram was something like 1000+ damage (Critical x7 + insane damage from the staff, strength 25)

Not sure, been like 1 year 1/2 since i last played BG2:SoA/ToB

Tribunal/Bloodmoon expansions

I was wondering what do those expansions really add to the game, since i'm considering buying 'em.

I've finished Morrowind with a level 45 character.

I've read that they provide some good challenge, even for High level morrowind players.

Is that true ?

Moreover:

What do they add beside quests ...

However, you do need to meet the requirement for Archmaster (ie Endurance and Strength 35, one skill at 90, two skills at 35) or Bolvyn Venim won't accept your challenge.

It's for the Hortator quest, no requirement needed :)

Make sure to have all the other redoran councilors agree to name you ...

Enchantment ideas

I've just obtained a 2nd Daedric Daï-Katana and i'm wondering what kind of enchantment i should put on it ;)

I'm thinking about enchanting it with a fortify strength +100 for 4 sec on strike, calling it "Wake Of The Berserker" :D

Would be fun against more than 1 ennemy ...
