Interestingly I've just read elsewhere that this is not an unusual problem!? Several others have had this error and solved it mostly by looking away from the monster as it's slain. I then did other quests, returned, let my npc's fight and then went the opposite direction and looked away. Tadaaa! It ...

I forgot to mention that turning down graphics completely doesn't help at all.

I'm stuck. To continue the game I must kill the tarantalek. However the game freezes and exits to windows every time I kill the monster.

But after visiting the sand people encampment I lost the robes. I've been back again in my "normal" outfit and they didn't attack me. Now I'm back again for the second time, again they don't attack even though I'm in my normal outfit.

Sorry, I was quite worked up when I wrote my question so didn't think of a search ;) However it seems I found out myself. I can't put the robes on inside the city. I picked up sand people robes from some who attacked me. Now I want to use the clothes to sneak to their settlement. However I can't wear it? I don't meet requirements it says? I have light & medium armor skill. Do I need heavy armor to wear robes!? Or do I need to trigger something in the storyline?

I have avg anti virus, but it only scans when I manually make it. I have switched harddrive since last game where I simply copied the whole game directory over to the new hd. Could this have messed up something?

I always had these problems with Kotor, but now it's worse in that I can't go elsewhere ...

I might add that in my first time through the game I could usually go somewhere else do some things and then go back to the place where it would freeze and then come through without problems. I just tried that in my current game. Doesn't work. Still breaks down....?

Well also the "littles ones" before battle. Those showing what awaits me. I do remember enough of the beginning of the game to simply skip this otherwise helpful tip.

Is it possible to skip cutscenes between levels? Not by turning them off but by pressing a button somewhere on the keyboard?

I also preferred 2 lightsabers over a double blade one. I carefully balanced my upgrades and gained a very nice effect from them.
